00:31Welcome, my children.
00:37I am Osmund Sadler, the speaker for our lord.
00:42Although his actions don't have quite as far-reaching consequences as other Resident Evil villains,
00:47Osmund Sadler is still a nasty piece of work.
00:50As the antagonist of Resident Evil 4 and its remake, he led the vicious cult Los Illuminados.
00:56Of course, it's easy to be vicious when you're host to a horrific, mind-controlling parasite.

01:09Now, abandon your body.
01:11Sadler experimented on Spanish villagers infecting them with the Las Plagas and forcing them to do his bidding.
01:17It's one thing to convince people to do evil, but worse to force them into it by turning them into
01:23monsters.
01:23His worldwide plan was pretty messed up, too.
01:26He kidnapped the President's daughter, Ashley Graham, in an attempt to spread Los Plagas throughout the U.S. government,
01:32and eventually take over the world.

01:47Are you remembering?
01:57Part human, part genetically modified bioweapon,
02:01Evelyn comes as the surprise big bad
02:03in Resident Evil 7.
02:05And while we wouldn't say she's scarier or more interesting than members of the Baker clan,
02:10her being in control of them definitely makes her more evil.
02:14Evelyn can infect others with her mold, eventually making them her puppets.
02:19She does so to the Bakers over the course of three years before the game takes place.

02:27And the next time it rained, there was a mess for sure.

02:34Not only does this lead to some truly disturbing changes in their biology,
02:38but it warps their minds, causing them to perform sadistic acts like force-feeding human remains to their victims.
02:46Evelyn is responsible for all their disgusting acts, all out of some twisted need to be part of a family.

03:05All stars, this soft.
03:07I wonder so many of you dead.

03:18If you blow up a hospital that is currently working against a virus that turns people into zombies,
03:23it's safe to say you're pretty rotten to the core.
03:26In Resident Evil 3, Nikolai Zinoviev is sent to Raccoon City to kill the undead and rescue civilians.
03:32But he has his own objectives, all of which are pretty vile.
03:37Nikolai, what are you doing?
03:39It's not after the moon.
03:42Nikolai!
03:43He betrays and kills his fellow mercenaries,
03:46and he monitors Umbrella's latest monstrosity nemesis as it hunts down and murders members of stars.
03:52In order to secure the potential profitability of Umbrella's T-Virus,
03:56he destroys the only possible vaccine in the middle of the outbreak.
04:01With enemies as cold-blooded as this, who needs zombies?
04:04You promised to do this, didn't you?
04:08No!
04:10William Birkin
04:11You don't get away that easily.
04:19First appearing in the original Resident Evil 2,
04:22William Birkin actually grew more despicable as Capcom added to his history.
04:27An incredibly talented virologist, Birkin created the G-Virus for Umbrella.
04:31But when they tried to steal his work, Birkin infected himself with it,
04:35mutating horrifically and causing the outbreak inside Raccoon City.
04:39In this twisted form, he hunted his own daughter,
04:41as her relation meant she could also be a carrier.

04:48What'd you say?
04:54Future Games would retcon just how terrible a person he was even before this.
04:59He conspired with Albert Wesker to take the life of Dr. James Marcus,
05:03their mentor and co-founder of Umbrella.
05:06Much worse were his experiments on Lisa Trevor,
05:08a girl held captive by Umbrella since she was a girl.
05:12Scientific curiosity can be a terrifying thing.
05:19Alex Wesker
05:28Although you won't find her in the mainline games,
05:31this less famous Wesker is nonetheless a horrible person.
05:35A child prodigy, she became tied to Umbrella at a very early age,
05:40growing into a respected scientist in their pharmaceutical division.
05:43Although she's responsible for various bad deeds,
05:46her most evil is how she treated the people of Sign Island.
05:49I will share in his fate,
05:52and then I will surpass him.
05:56What are you trying to do?
05:57Under the guise of using her wealth to restore a poverty-stricken area,
06:01she spent her private time kidnapping citizens and experimenting on them.
06:05While they saw her as a savior,
06:07she was actually subjecting them to a virus of her own creation.
06:10And it wasn't long before she expanded her scope to the larger population,
06:14all while keeping up the Good Samaritan charade.
06:29Alexia Ashford
06:30Who is that?
06:32The king was loved, but the queen was feared.
06:37An incredibly high intelligence is almost a requirement for a Resident Evil villain,
06:42but not many of them can claim they're a genetic clone of their genius ancestor.
06:46Unfortunately, this gave Alexia Ashford quite the god complex.
06:51And when she discovered how her quote-unquote father created her and her twin brother,
06:55she didn't take it too kindly.
06:57You are not worthy of its power!
07:04You see, she also created her own virus,
07:06using Alexander Ashford as her test subject and turning him into a mindless monster.
07:11She would then infect herself and enter cryostasis for 15 years so that she could control it,
07:17and her new abilities when she came out.
07:19Cold, calculating, and remarkably patient,
07:23Alexia's treatment of her father and her view of humanity as beneath her
07:26makes for a ruthless foe.
07:38Mother Miranda
07:39Since Mother Miranda brought her to the village, we have fallen into darkness.
07:44What are you talking about?
07:45The monsters?
07:45Mother Miranda's path to villainy begins out of tragedy,
07:49but her horrid actions make that easy to forget.
07:51After losing her daughter, Ava, to the Spanish flu in the late 1910s,
07:56Miranda came into contact with a strange fungus.
07:58It not only prolonged her life, but showed her the consciousnesses
08:02of everyone it had ever absorbed, including her daughter.
08:06Vessel or not, I can't wait to see my true child again.
08:12Miranda then experimented on nearby villagers, leading to most of their deaths,
08:16all in search of a vessel for Ava.
08:18And for the next century, she wouldn't let up.
08:21With the memory of her daughter the only thing tying Miranda to her humanity,
08:25she destroyed countless families in pursuit of her goals.
08:28As if all that wasn't bad enough, she also created Evelyn
08:32and was indirectly responsible for the events of RE7.
08:35And you try to take it away from me!
08:40I will take what is due!
08:43Brian Irons
08:56It isn't always a mad scientist or a megalomaniac
09:00that stands out for their villainy in Resident Evil.
09:02In the second game, Brian Irons proved he could stand among the worst of them.
09:07As Raccoon City's chief of police, Irons was as dirty as they come,
09:11happy to protect the Umbrella Corporation so long as they kept paying him.
09:15But that is far from his most deplorable crime.
09:19Leave me alone!
09:21Just please!
09:22Time to teach some manners!
09:28You little bitch!
09:30He also showed violent tendencies towards young women
09:33and often enjoyed taxidermy as a hobby.
09:36Two character traits that make for one horrific combination.
09:40In RE2, Irons made the mayor's daughter his latest victim
09:43while also hindering his own officers out of paranoia,
09:47which only added fuel to the fire.
09:49So when he finally gets his comeuppance,
09:51it's a pretty satisfying moment.
10:02Oswell E. Spencer
10:14Since he's the co-founder of the Umbrella Corporation
10:17and the namesake of the original game's setting,
10:20the Spencer Mansion,
10:21Oswell E. Spencer being one of the worst people in Resident Evil
10:25obviously isn't a shock.
10:27Although he plays a pretty small role in the overall scheme of things,
10:30his list of misdeeds throughout the franchise's history speak for themselves.
10:34Ironic, isn't it?
10:37For one who has the right to be a god.
10:42His ambitions always lied in eugenics,
10:45and his goals always strayed towards forcing evolution upon humanity
10:49through the development of viruses.
10:51He helped discover the progenitor virus
10:53and led the charge for developing others with it as the basis,
10:56all meant to mutate humans in Spencer's quest to play god.
11:00What's worse is that all of his crimes were committed from a place of comfort,
11:04with Spencer seemingly avoiding being anywhere near the messes he caused.
11:11The right to be a god.
11:14You.
11:17Arrogant even until the end.
11:20Albert Wesker
11:21Wesker, you've become senile!
11:26Chris, you'll never understand.
11:29Arguably the most iconic baddie in the whole series,
11:33Albert Wesker's crimes are too long,
11:35too varied, and too involved to list in their entirety here.
11:39Players learned to hate him from the very first game,
11:42when he was revealed as an umbrella spy who led your team to their doom.
11:46Obviously, he grew worse over the years.
11:48With superhuman abilities born from experimentations,
11:51and a merciless view on humanity,
11:53Wesker's actions have only ever been in service of subjecting others to his control and power.
12:08His life was defined by the pain and death he brought to different people around the globe,
12:13and he would have brought even more of it with Ouroboros
12:16had Chris Redfield not stopped him in Resident Evil 5.
