00:11Welcome to Mojo Plays and I hope you brought a compass and a good amount of Radaway. You're
00:15going to need it. These are the 10 hardest locations to reach in Fallout. Whether it's
00:19incredibly difficult to find without a guide or guarded by enemies that will flatten you like
00:23a radioactive pancake, we're going to look at them. Let's go. Before we continue, we publish
00:28content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring the bell to get notified of our latest
00:33videos. Dev Rooms Fallout series. By definition, some of the hardest locations to reach in Fallout
00:44games are the dev rooms, mainly because they weren't actually there for the player. They're
00:48basically the game's secret backroom, the digital equivalent of employees only. In fact, some of
00:53them are so locked down that accessing them feels like breaking into a vault inside a vault. Take
00:57Fallout 2 for example. Its developer room is practically a cosmic joke. The only legitimate
01:01way in is by having an absurdly high luck stat. Not good luck, ridiculous luck. The kind of
01:07luck where you'd win 3 lotteries and find a perfect conditioned power armour in a dumpster.
01:11Then there's Fallout 76, whose developer room becomes infamous during the game's early glitchy
01:15happy days. Players discovered ways to sneak inside, only to learn the hard way that Bethesda
01:20did not appreciate uninvited guests. Entering the room could get you banned faster than you
01:24could say, I swear I'm just looking.
01:30Vault 34 Armoury Fallout New Vegas
01:42Reaching the armoury in Vault 34 feels less like exploring a location in Fallout New Vegas,
01:46and more like auditioning for a post-apocalyptic triathlon. First, the vault itself is a radioactive
01:51maze, the kind of place where the Geiger counter starts clicking like a tap dancer. The deeper
01:56you go, the worse it gets. Flooded hallways, narrow choke points, and enough radiation to
02:00make your rat-away weep. Then come the residents. Vault 34 is packed with feral ghouls who sprint
02:06at you like you owe them caps, snacks, or both. They swarm constantly, turning every room into
02:10a frantic wrestling match for survival. And just when you think you've cleared them out,
02:14another pack drops in to ruin your confidence. To top it off, navigation inside the vault is deliberately
02:19confusing, forcing you to puzzle out terminals and flooded routes while your health slowly melts.
02:24By the time you finally reach the armoury, you still have to get the code to enter and drain
02:28the room of water, all while avoiding the previously discussed issues.
02:44Oasis Fallout 3
02:55Outsider! You have arrived!
02:57Finding Oasis in Fallout 3 feels like trying to locate a mythical spa in the middle of a radioactive
03:03junkyard. If you've cheated and found the location online, it looks simple enough,
03:07but actually getting there is a whole pilgrimage. First, the area is buried in one of the most
03:11hostile corners of the Capital Wasteland. Then there's the terrain. The path twists through broken
03:16highways, collapsed structures, and enough rubble to make you question whether the GPS was invented
03:20before or after the Great War. Even when you think you're close, Oasis stays hidden behind cliffs,
03:25trees, and terrain that acts like it's deliberately trying to mislead you. It's hidden in the far
03:29northern centre of the map, accessible only by a specific, easily missed gorge entrance in its western
03:35side. The only way, outside of being told by a friend, you'd know it existed, is from a note on
03:40the
03:40body of a very hostile NPC.
03:44I can't believe you're here!
03:48Megaton's Gate Fallout 3
03:52This spot in Fallout 3 isn't just difficult to reach, it was clearly not meant to be reached,
03:56considering getting there requires you to push the game way outside its comfort zone. That being said,
04:01the developers were kind enough to program the NPC waiting for you with some relevant words to share.
04:06In Megaton, there is a guard perched above the gate named Stockholm. Getting to him requires very
04:11specific placements and jumps, which make no sense. You're literally working against the game. But once
04:16you do reach him, he asks, how the hell did you get up here? Clearly this was placed intentionally,
04:20but I doubt it was ever meant to be heard.
04:27The more time I spend talking to you, the less I'm spending watching for Raiders. How the hell did
04:33you get up here anyway? Rockopolis Fallout 3
04:38Rockopolis is a fictional location mentioned in one of the radio plays featured on Galaxy News Radio.
04:43The closest you'll get to it is hearing it mentioned in a melodramatic epic while you're wandering the
04:48wasteland. Or so you'd think. If you want to visit what's left of this tragic underground hideout,
04:52wander west from Smith Casey's garage until you stumble into a ravine. That's your spot. Just don't
04:58expect a guided tour. Most of the tunnel has collapsed, leaving you about as much room to explore
05:02as a radroach in a shoebox. It may not be the hardest location to reach,
05:05but it's certainly the hardest to realize what you've reached.
05:13CRASHED VERTABIRD FALLOUT NEW VEGAS
05:15Here we go.
05:23Approaching the VERTABIRD crash site in Fallout 3 is basically signing up for a hostile meet and
05:28greet with every metal murder machine the wasteland has on payroll. Robo-brains, Mr. Gutsy, Sentrybots,
05:33and Securitrons are all standing guard like they're auditioning for America's next top death laser.
05:37Trying to slip in and grab the leftover loot is about as simple as juggling frag grenades. The
05:42moment you get close, the place lights up with so many lasers you'd think you'd wandered into a
05:46brotherhood rave. Your screen fills with red beams, explosions, and the faint sound of your
05:50character regretting every life decision that led to this moment. If you're planning to charge in guns
05:55blazing, bring supplies, specifically EMP grenades or anything designed for turning robots into scrap metal.
06:00Interesting. It's been a long time since I've seen one of these.
06:05Huh. Good question. Must have been in a book.
06:10EDDIE WINTER'S HIDEOUT FALLOUT FOUR
06:12That filthy toad's right on the other side of that door. Why don't you do the honour?
06:17Sure.
06:18EDDIE WINTER'S HIDEOUT FALLOUT FOUR
06:18Tracking down EDDIE WINTER's infamous hideout in Fallout 4 feels like a post-apocalyptic escape
06:23room, except the puzzles involve feral ghouls, ancient pre-war crime tapes, and the creeping suspicion
06:28that Nick Valentine is silently judging your detective skills. Winter didn't just pick a cozy bunker and
06:33call it a day. He burrowed into a dingy, half-collapsed subway station that looks like it failed every
06:38safety inspection before the bombs even fell. Even once you're in the right location, you still can't
06:42stroll in. Winter locked his hideout behind a code split across ten holotapes scattered all over the
06:47Commonwealth. Grab old ten, punch in the code, and then the door finally creaks open like it's offended you
06:52even made the effort. So why is Eddie Winter's hideout so hard to reach? Simple. The man was a paranoid
06:57mobster with too much time and just enough nuclear apocalypse to justify turning his safe house
07:01into the world's least enjoyable treasure hunt.
07:13Capital Building Bunkers Fallout 3
07:19Wandering into the capital bunkers in Fallout 3 is basically signing up for a guided tour of things
07:25that want to break you in half. This whole area is crawling with some of the toughest super mutants
07:29in the capital wasteland, which is exactly why the residents of Underworld prefer staying indoors.
07:34Depending on your level, you can run into super mutant masters or even the infamously cranky
07:38super mutant overlords. Think of them as the deluxe version of Pain. These giants show up wielding
07:44everything from miniguns and missile launchers to super sledges, sledgehammers, and presumably whatever
07:48else they can pick up and throw at you if the mood strikes. But the real star of the show
07:52waits inside the capital building itself. A super mutant behemoth. One of the only five in the entire
07:58game. This thing is huge, angry, and extremely uninterested in your hopes and dreams.
08:04The Quarry Junction Den Fallout New Vegas
08:13Anyone who spent more than five minutes in Fallout New Vegas knows that Quarry Junction has been completely
08:17claimed by a whole family reunion of Deathclaws, including several terrifying variants that look
08:22like they were designed specifically to ruin your day. Wander in at a low level and the experience
08:26transforms into the world's shortest nature hike. For players feeling bold or just incredibly
08:31overconfident, the landscape actually offers some tactical advantages. The ramps, cliffs, and jagged
08:36rock formations give you enough high ground to take potshots at Deathclaws who haven't noticed you yet.
08:41Emphasis on yet. Consider it the Wasteland's version of skeet shooting,
08:44except the targets scream and sprint at 60 miles per hour. Most sane players, however,
08:49make a mental note, back away slowly and return much later with firepower worthy of a small war.
09:01Vault 87's Front Door Fallout 3
09:09Getting to vault doors isn't usually the hardest thing, it's usually the inside that's the problem.
09:13But vault 87 is much worse. The vault's main entrance sits smack in the middle of one of the
09:18most heavily irradiated zones in the entire capital wasteland. We're talking lethal levels. Walk a few
09:24steps too far and your lifespan starts dropping faster than a raider with bad aim. It's the game's
09:28polite, glowing way of saying, hey, maybe don't go this way unless you're craving a terminal case of
09:33extra crispy. Because of the extreme radiation, players can't actually use the front door at all.
09:38You can pump rad eggs, chug rat away, and enough radroach meat to qualify as one yourself, but the
09:43entrance remains effectively unreachable unless you enjoy collapsing dramatically in the dirt.
09:48Instead, the only safe route into vault 87 is through little lamplight's back tunnels.
09:53So, the reason it's so hard to reach the front door is basically because you need cheats. Or god mode.
