00:09We were picked up promptly from one of the meeting points, as our hostel was not in the pickup zone.
00:15It was a little confusing as there were other groups gathering there.
00:20Thai kept in contact through WhatsApp and we found each other quickly.
00:24First, we went to the waterfall, then the highest point in Thailand with a nature walk.
00:31After that, we went to the twin sapthas the grounds and the sapthas were beautiful.
00:36The story told in each was meaningful.
00:39There was an escalator up to each, but not down, so if you have mobility issues you'll want to consider
00:45this.
00:46We stopped for lunch outside the park gates and had a decent meal at a good price.
00:52Finally, we visited the Karen village and watched them weave, walked through some of the village and has some of
00:59their coffee which was strong and delicious.
01:01There were weaving and coffee to purchase to help support the village.
01:06It was a nice tour with Thai offering information and history along the way.
01:11The van was comfortable and water was offered.
01:14My brother and his partner arrived in Chiang Mai a couple of days after us and we recommended they take
01:20this tour.
01:21My only wish is that Thai would have asked that the guests introduce themselves and where they were visiting from
01:27to break the ice.
01:29It was a long day and no one spoke to anyone else until lunch, but just a little and then
01:35to say goodbye.
01:36Other than that excellent excursion.
01:40Don into non is an experience not to be missed if you're in Chiang Mai, especially if you enjoy being
01:46in nature.
01:47My two sisters and I were picked up from our hotel, right on time, by the ever smiling and helpful
01:54Avi.
01:55Avi's calm, gentle, and friendly demeanor eased interactions between nine absolute strangers who found themselves together, and his jokes gave
02:04us something to laugh about.
02:06Our experience of the Waikai Wraithan waterfall and the summit of DOI in Tanan was awe-inspiring.
02:13The two short trails we walked at the DOI were easy and can be accomplished by most people.
02:20You just need to remember to wear suitable shoes.
02:23What was extraordinary was the fauna that greeted us in the trails.
02:28You could breathe in the fragrant jungle and take in the silence and serenity that only comes in the unspoiled
02:35wild.
02:35The twin pagodas at the end were also very beautiful.
02:39The most interesting part of the tour was visiting a Caron village and experiencing their simple lives.
02:46We got introduced to native coffee growers and had a lovely coffee tasting experience.
02:51I ended up buying a lot of it.
02:54However, the entire trip was made absolutely special by how much care Avi took of each and every passenger, making
03:02sure that there were appropriate restroom breaks and helping each of us with our lunch order.
03:07By the end of the trip, Avi seemed more like a friend than a guide.
03:12I took the DOI into non-eco-friendly tour in March and really enjoyed it.
03:18Everything was well planned and easy to follow which I appreciated.
03:22Our guide, Nana, was such a kind woman, very helpful and shared a lot of interesting information about the local
03:29culture and nature.
03:30One of my favorite parts was the walk through the forest Anka Trail.
03:35It was so calm and beautiful and not too difficult to walk either.
03:40The views from the twin pagodas and the highest point in Thailand were absolutely lovely.
03:46It was nice to take our time and really soak it all in.
03:50Lunch was simple but delicious and I appreciated that everything felt very local and not touristy.
03:57The van was clean and comfortable and we were always on time.
04:01I felt safe and looked after throughout the day.
04:05I'd definitely recommend this tour especially if you enjoy nature and learning about different cultures.
04:12A FANTASTIC TRIP TO THE NATIONAL PARK
04:15We visited two waterfalls, the twin pagodas and had a delicious lunch in a nearby village.
04:21We also got to learn about how coffee was made in Thailand had a taster of a few different teas
04:27slash coffees.
04:29The whole day was very comfortable, we were driven to each location and were guided by our wonderful guide, Nana.
04:36She was informative and so much fun, making the trip super enjoyable.
04:42Definitely recommend.
