00:09it's an early start and a late return to the square but worth the drive
00:13i meet the tour at ammonia square this was a little confusing where the meeting point
00:17walked from my accommodation but really easy big bus and a man waiting to check your ticket
00:21right as you exit the metro station i just meet other people that looked like they were
00:26waiting for a tour and presto we were on the road lovely stops along the way for coffee and food
00:32when you arrive at the town for lunch you are in awe of your the mountains and scenery that you're
00:37surrounded by it's beautiful we were seated at a traditional greek restaurant and given the
00:42opportunity to meet others on the tour and share lunch after lunch we had a little bit of time to
00:47explore not much but enough time for me then the real adventure begins with a slow climb of course
00:53in the lovely air-conditioned bus up to the first monastery always remember for women a long
00:58shirt and long sleeve shirt and men but if you forgot each stop supplies appropriate clothing no charge
01:03with each visit and loads of stair climbing the awesome dues just became more frequent and the
01:08history and stories breathtaking not to mention the view our coach was very clean with safe drivers and
01:14a great tour guide this was my second visit to athens in two years and unfortunately last trip i didn't
01:20get to do this tour but this time i was not going to miss out and i was not disappointed

02:03real greek typical food so many dishes to chose from the narratives and knowledge about the area were
02:10just outstanding the tour guide ricky is so knowledgeable very kind and very polite lady
02:16and she was always prone to answer any questions we had and the bus driver was really an excellent and
02:23professional and very careful driver at all times we highly recommend this excursion with them

02:36canada and venezuela i want to say the tour guide and the drivers were wonderful very accommodating and
02:43understanding but very crammed bus not comfortable for such a long ride which i don't have an issue
02:49with but if you're from america your idea of luxury ride is different than european we had hoped to have
02:55a nice seats but they were very small in the pickup and drop off were advertised in one spot but

02:59actually where it was so we had to run to the spot for pickup so other than the crammed ride

03:06information about pickup and drop off it was wonderful i want to make it clear that was on the tour
03:12company and not the employees on the tour it was also clear they had a max limit of 50 and

03:18on our group pretty photos but we ought to are slightly mislead us it's a long trip but definitely worth

03:26we are a family of four with two kids 14 and eight we were picked up in coach on time

03:33then drove to meteora we met our guide there the tour started with a delicious lunch at a local
03:40restaurant there are six functional monasteries at meteora four male and two female because it's
03:47winter and the close pretty early we had the chance to enter two of them and see the others from
03:51the
03:51outside the briefing before each one of them was great our guide there was wonderful she was accommodating
03:59patient and the nicest ever the views up there were just breathtaking it's a long drive from into
04:05athens but it's definitely worth it highly recommended this tour has been the highlight of
04:13my greece trip the long drive from athens was totally worth it and seeing the incredible views
04:18were magical a unesco gem indeed as if i was transported to a different world visiting the
04:25two monasteries were also remarkable huge thanks to our knowledgeable and amazing eva our guide
