00:09Bath and Stonehenge Tour
00:11Our guide Mel was very entertaining and explained the meet-up locations and times well at each stop.
00:18Be prepared to be on time or a bit earlier to meet the bus at the stated departure times first
00:24thing in the morning and during the tour.
00:26No joke.
00:27We watched a family miss their tour time, same tour company but different tour, because they didn't check in by
00:35the stated departure time.
00:37They also make it clear, the bus will leave on time at the various tour stops at the stated time
00:43and if you are late, the bus will leave without out.
00:45It's refreshing to get on a bus that leaves at their enforced departure times, usually there are parties that don't
00:53follow the rules in every tour group causing the bus to be late at every stop.
00:57It's an all-day tour so everyone looks forward to returning to their point of origin at the promised times.
01:05The tour itself is lovely.
01:08Lots of walking so dress for the weather, it can be chilly in December, and wear proper shoes.
01:14Bath is a lovely city but with cobblestone roads are slippery when we so wear decent walking shoes for traction.
01:22Stonehenge is amazing.
01:24It's in a field with lots of mud.
01:27It rained the night before so the walking paths are muddy so proper footwear is a must.
01:32Your starts at Stonehenge and you get time for a 1.30pm, 2pm lunch and bath.
01:39Departs 8.30am and returns about 7pm.
01:42Oh, at the Roman bath venue is no stroller allowed.
01:47We went with teenagers but we would not recommend bringing young kids that cannot travel lightly and walk on their
01:53own for long stretches.
01:56Our guide Zazo was very efficient and informative.
02:00He communicated well and was great about getting us to places ahead of the other tour buses.
02:06Here's some things you need to know because this is a long full day but worth doing.
02:10With Jioden tours there are no restrooms on the bus.
02:14Go before you get on.
02:16There are restrooms at Windsor and in Bath and at Stonehenge, but it could be a long time in between.
02:23We stood in line in the cold at Windsor for an hour waiting for it to open, but we were
02:28one of the first tours in.
02:30You could take bags, but all bags were searched.
02:34It opened at 9.40pm.
02:36In the summer it's 9.30pm.
02:39We were at Windsor until about 11.30pm then went to Stonehenge and we were there until about 2.15pm.
02:46And then we went to Bath and we were there until 5.30pm.
02:51Everything ran extremely well.
02:53You might want to pack a lunch.
02:56We did and this helped.
02:58And bring water also.
02:59We were touring in December and it's very cold so dress warmly and bring all kinds of things to keep
03:06you warm.
03:07There is a cafe at Stonehenge, which had good food offerings.
03:12It was busy, but the line moved quickly.
03:15We also had a little time in Bath to grab something.
03:192 to 2.5 hours back to London at the end.
03:23Mel was an absolutely amazing guide and truly made our trip to Stonehenge and Bath unforgettable.
03:30He's incredibly knowledgeable, but what really sets him apart is his great sense of humor,
03:36his stories and jokes kept everyone engaged and laughing throughout the journey.
03:41Mel explained the history in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely interesting,
03:47and he made sure we were well taken care of at every stop.
03:51Thanks to his energy and warmth, the day felt fun, relaxed, and perfectly paced.
03:57I would highly recommend Mel to anyone looking for an informative yet entertaining tour experience.
04:04We had a great trip to Stonehenge and Bath and Mel was an incredible guide.
04:09He clearly knows his regional history and having grew up in Bath, he had some wonderful local knowledge.
04:17Not only was he well informed, he was funny and pleasant.
04:21My only disappointment was not enough time in Bath.
04:25There is so much to see in this beautiful town.
04:28I could have stayed longer.
04:31Michael ensured a smooth and safe drive on the coach and it was an overall great experience.
