00:09Today we took a tour with Forrest to the Longjing Tea Plantage in the Hangzhou Tea Museum.
00:14Forrest picked us up at our hotel at our convenient time and took us to the Longjing
00:18Tea Plantages to pick our own tea. He studied tourism and English and gave us excellent English
00:24explanations about tea and the history of Hangzhou. Afterwards we visited the state-owned tea
00:29house where we enjoyed Longjing Tea of highest quality and could also buy some tea. In the end
00:35we visited the Hangzhou Tea Museum, which is very recommendable, too. If Wishty also has some great
00:41recommendations for affordable, local restaurants. Forrest was reachable via WeChat for us, just search
00:48his number, and fully adapted the program and timing to our needs. We can absolutely recommend his
00:54service. This is a very local and amazing experience. Forrest was a phenomenal tour guide.
01:01He picked me up at the train station and chauffeured me to a tea farm about 30 minutes away. At
01:08the farm,
01:08I was able to wear traditional clothing, pick tea leaves and process the tea leaves. The green tea
01:14here is phenomenal and I think I'm converted into a tea drinker. The only reason I would deduct 0.5
01:20stars is because it seems a little sales pitchy at the end. During the tea tasting the woman leading
01:26the tasting was trying to sell me on medicinal green tea tablets for health which I was not at
01:30all interested in. I did end up purchasing loose leaf tea which was quite expensive but it can last
01:35up to five years in the freezer. The tea tour with Forrest was hands down one of the best things
01:42that we
01:42did during our trip in China. Forrest was the best guide who provided an extremely authentic and honest
01:47insight into Chinese culture and history which was so fascinating. Forrest is extremely knowledgeable
01:53on tea culture, including both the production and tea history, and is also an extremely friendly guide
01:59with a brilliant command of English. On the tour we managed to learn how Chinese tea is made from
02:04root to source, quite literally as we picked our own tea leaves in the field, and the influence that
02:09tea has on Chinese culture. Amazing!
02:13Flexible pick-up time and private transfer were amazing. We knew a lot when on the way to the tea
02:18plant. Kids were very exited to wear traditional clothes for tea picking and overall the process.
02:25It's very hard to show for kids all the steps of tea production that they were interested in
02:29guide did it 100%. We've known that we can, not only drink tea, but even eat leaves from tea.
02:36And super bonus that price for this tour with English speaking guide was cheaper than for a group trip,
02:41from 10 to 40 people, that made our experience 10 times better, thank you very much for the tour.
02:48Great experience with Forrest. He was very flexible on timing and when we needed to make changes to the
