18:49He's not even had the pace, along with an average finish of 15.6.
18:53The focus for Team Penske has been, if we're going to beat Alex Pillow,
18:57we have to master these kinds of tracks.
19:00And they feel like they've made a massive step.
19:02He's misplaced in qualifying with a mishap starting ninth,
19:06but they feel they don't need any kind of strategy tricks.
19:08They can move forward to the front.

19:11Well, Kevin, this has not been the start to the season
19:13that Will Power and Andretti had hoped for.
19:15Although a podium in Arlington, he had a huge crash in qualifying,
19:19ultimately leading him to start in the 23rd position today.
19:22We've seen this scenario play out before this year already
19:25when he started 25th in Phoenix,
19:27but he's worked his way up through the field
19:29and ended up leading 10 laps of that very race.
19:32I spoke to Will, and he said if the race stays green,
19:35he'd be happy with the top 10 finish today.
19:36But if they catch some yellows early,
19:38he's confident he can put that 26 car to the front of the field.

19:47Just some stats for you here.

19:51He's had 13 top 10s, 9 podiums, 6 second places,
19:57and this is the greatness of Sir Scott.
19:59We talk about the tracks he hasn't won at.
20:02Most drivers, if you're lucky, you get one really good track,
20:05maybe a couple.
20:06For him, we have to talk about the ones he hasn't.
20:08Maybe this is the day he does it.
20:10I'm putting safe money on Scott to be in the top 10.
20:13Well, if he's going to do it, he has to do it from 13th.
20:16He's done it from further back before,
20:17and if anyone can pull off a wild strategy,
20:19it is Sir Scott Dixon.
20:22His teammate, though, Alex Pillow, will lead from the front.
20:25This time last year, Pillow took the pole.
20:27He took the fastest lap of the race,
20:29and he's demolished the field.
20:31So many teams and drivers, though, have turned up this year,
20:34turning their cars upside down in an effort
20:36to not just get on terms with Alex Pillow,
20:38but in order to get a car underneath him
20:40that can beat Alex Pillow.
20:42And it has already been done twice this year.
20:45New Garden has beaten him,
20:46and we saw last time out Carl Kirkwood
20:48put the move on Alex Pillow
20:50to wrestle that victory away from him.
20:54You can't remember, he was still P2 at Arlington.
20:57It's not like he had a bad day.
20:58You go back to Phoenix, early accident,
21:00and took him out of contention,
21:01so we're not sure what he would have been capable
21:03of doing on the short oval,
21:05but we are back at the type of racetrack
21:07that was the bread and butter
21:08of Pillow's championship attack last year.
21:11Been watching these onboards for the pace laps.
21:13I see a lot of jumpiness on the right foot.
21:15Everybody is testing right now,
21:17how much traction do I have
21:19to try to get a jump on this start?
21:23I think we could see some wild driving here
21:26on the opening lap.
21:27Passing, difficult once things settle in.
21:30Had a lot of opportunity to make moves
21:32in the first few quarters.
21:33I even noticed on Scott Dixon's on board,
21:35already saving fuel on these pace laps.
21:37He was being way more aggressive
21:38than what we've seen from the other onboards
21:40that we've been on.
21:41That's a driver that,
21:42if the opportunity is there to make it on two,
21:44he's the guy to do it.
