00:00Following reports of potential closures across multiple Xbox Studios, rumours have now emerged
00:05that State of Decay developer Undead Labs is facing the same sad situation. What makes this
00:10whole thing more confusing is that Xbox dropped a trailer for State of Decay 3 less than a month
00:14ago after years of silence, revealing that it's expected to drop in 2027. Strange if the game's
00:20studio is facing layoffs before a potential closure. Bloomberg's Jason Schreier provided
00:24some additional details about the studios likely to be impacted, saying it's possible, even likely,
00:29that some of the studios that are lined up for closure will be spun out and taken independent
00:34again by their management, potentially saving some jobs. While Schreier didn't mention Undead Labs
00:38specifically here, it's safe to assume they're included. Add to this the recently announced
00:43price increase for Xbox consoles, and it's hard not to be concerned about the gaming giant's future.
