00:00all right we're gonna be going over the install for the super selector so a couple things to note
00:08a little few differences obviously between the selector and super safety the super selector uses
00:15a standard switch that moves that moves to three positions the super safety is obviously a push
00:25button another key difference they use different triggers your super safety cut trigger
00:36will not work with the super selector period it won't work you need a standard mil spec something
00:48else to keep an eye out for there are a couple different styles of mil spec trigger
00:55the ones that are squared off on the back come on thank you like that they don't work you need
01:05one
01:08it's angled down you can see that angle right here at the back corner I'll put these side
01:13by side you can kind of get an idea of the difference between the two
01:22one's cornered one has an angle downward I believe you can modify these to make them work like the
01:31standard square ones you should be able to modify them to make them work but this is the kind of
01:36trigger you should be looking out for standard mil spec with little curve on the back okay so to start
01:45we're gonna put the trigger in so we're gonna take true spring sorry probably do that on camera I'm hoping
01:56you guys know how to put a trigger spring on by now disconnect your spring but this is going on
02:11one of my belt feds drop that in I like to get pins started makes it easier just line it
02:31up to barely
02:32pull it pokes out pull it back a little get your disconnector insert the disconnector onto the trigger pack
02:47forward pressure on the pin push the disconnector down you kind of rock it a little bit and it'll go
02:52right in and then just make sure everything's lined up to push the trigger pin all the way through
03:01then you're going to take your hammer hammer spring this one by the way is shortened you do not need
03:09to do this you go see this one shorter than this one I pulled this out of one of my
03:15mp5s you do not
03:17need to shorten the spring for this I know someone's gonna ask about it insert hammer
03:32and get your pin
03:38again just make sure everything's lined up
03:46there it goes easy and if your guns are anything like mine they're probably filthy so maybe wear gloves
03:54or clean your guns you know maybe I should take my own advice but that's okay because they work just
04:00fine all right now we're gonna install the actual selector itself so first
04:09want to make sure the spring is on the rod here
04:19then we're gonna take this we're going to insert it oh don't lose the spring
04:31you're gonna insert it there and I like to have I like to have the selector in the semi position
04:40you can
04:41see that with the notch and if your spring fell out just don't lose it and just drop it right
04:49back on
04:51what you'll need to do you obviously can't push it all the way through like I did you need to
04:57get the
04:58lever on still push that back a little and take your lever it goes in this
05:07direction with the flag facing rearward do not try and put it in the other way
05:12it ain't gonna work I know my hands are in the way as soon as I have this on I
05:21will show you what it's
05:22supposed to look like okay it's supposed to look just like that with that part sticking out okay now
05:38you want to check your orientation make sure that you're in the position that the safety is in the
05:44correct position this way it's semi you're gonna take your selector your selector on in the same
05:56orientation that the other part is in then you can take the screw these should have some blue
06:03Loctite on them like a dry patch there we go if it doesn't put a little blue Loctite on it
06:09a little
06:11being the optimal word spin that on you may need to hold everything in place see how I've kind of
06:24I'm twisting this direction so it's gonna want to spin this direction so I'm holding the selector so
06:30that it can't I'm using the tool provided in the package and we're just gonna snug it down okay
06:41now I'm gonna put the spring detent and safety on and I forgot to get a detent out so I'm
06:53gonna steal one from
06:55baggy here you know these use a standard AR detent not the rounded ones from super safety regular pointed detent
07:10drop it in take a grip with the spring and double check make sure everything went on correctly it looks
07:27like it did take a grip screw
07:37spin that on
07:56again just snug you don't need to crank on these
08:03and then just make sure that this moves to all three positions
08:19you may want to hold the lever like I'm doing because otherwise when you rotate it back it's gonna want
08:26to flip it backward and then
08:29it's obviously not gonna go on the gun correctly
08:36so when you're testing it just hold that
08:41and then you do a function test on it just like a standard super safety safe shouldn't fire
08:47single fire
08:51hammer locks on the disconnector
08:54lever moves back lever moves forward
08:57nothing happens
08:59come off the trigger
09:00fire it again just like that
09:29so that's pretty much it
09:32that's pretty much it
09:32after that just throw it throw it back on
09:35your upper and
09:37you should be good to go
