A joint Islamist front comprising Iran, Yemen, and the Lebanese resistance carried out a defensive operation on Saturday amid continued attacks by Israel and the United States in the region. For the first time since the recent escalation of violence on March 28th, several missiles were launched from Yemen while Iran's artillery bypassed Israeli air defenses and caused severe damage in and around Tel Aviv. On the other hand, the Lebanese resistance, Hezbollah, fired a surface-to-air missile at an Israeli aircraft flying over Beirut. According to reports by the Iranian army, more than 500 U.S. military personnel have been killed or wounded in the latest operation. The Islamic response followed Tel Aviv and Washington's airstrikes on Iranian steel mills and part of Tehran University, one of the most prestigious in the world, while Israeli forces attempted to invade southern Lebanon, without success.
