00:00What does it mean to be here tonight at the iHeartRadio Awards, just having this huge moment with Choosing Texas?
00:06I mean, it's been an amazing year for you.
00:08You know, this is my first iHeart Awards.
00:10This is really my first time in L.A. in general.
00:14It's just so cool to, I mean, see some legendary artists walking around here thinking, like,
00:18I'm in a dress in the same carpet.
00:20You know, it's crazy, but it's also very validating, and it's just cool.
00:24It's really cool to get experience things that you've thought about since you were a little kid.
00:28You know, and that's what I try to do in these award shows or red carpets.
00:32If I feel a little stressed, I'm like, you know what?
00:34I'm just going to have fun.
00:35I'm just going to have fun and enjoy myself, and so that's what I'm doing tonight.
00:39I love that. That's the way to do it.
00:41And coming up, something really fun, your first headline arena tour.
00:45I love it.
00:46Oh.
00:47Hey, you know, the fellas, they like it, you know.
00:50That's probably why you're so jacked.
00:52I can't see it as a jacket, but I imagine maybe.
00:55Russell Dickerson off to the side, a fan.
00:57I mean, I'm sure you have so many celebrity fans right now,
01:01but I was asking about this arena tour coming up, your first tour in arenas.
01:06How are you preparing for it, and what can fans expect from this, you know, elevated show?
01:09I mean, we went from playing clubs to arenas, so you can expect everything, you know.
01:15We're having a whole set we built out.
01:16I drew my set in my journal and then gave it to the set design people,
01:19and then that's what we have.
01:20We have so many rehearsals, so many songs that we're getting to play that are new,
01:24but also some ones that are old.
01:26But really, we get just kind of fallen to the groove of what we have all been working so hard
01:30for,
01:30and arena tour is what we've been dreaming about, you know.
01:34So getting that moment's awesome.
01:36And you've already given us so many amazing collabs.
01:39What's a collab that you're manifesting?
01:43John Mayer would be cool.
01:45I think Bruno Mars would be really cool.
01:49And if I'm thinking country, me and Lainey Wilson haven't done a song together yet.
01:52I think we should.
01:53You should. I feel like we need that female duo.
01:56You guys kind of give off similar energy.
01:57Yeah, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Stapleton.
02:00Love y'all.
02:02And I'm asking everybody here tonight, since it's the iHeartRadio Music Awards,
02:05what do you remember about the first time you heard yourself on the radio?
02:08I was actually at band rehearsal, tour rehearsal,
02:13and we all went outside to my friend's truck,
02:16because he had the nicest truck, and we listened to it all outside together.
02:19And it was just a surreal moment.
02:22You know, you have these people that believe in you early on,
02:25and there's not a lot to show for it for a lot of years.
02:27So those moments like that really kept us going.
02:30One final question before you've got to go.
02:32So Miley Cyrus is going to be here tonight.
02:34She's receiving the Innovator Award.
02:35And I feel like you may have grown up during, you know, the Hannah Montana era.
02:40And I'm asking, because it's the anniversary right now,
02:42what's your favorite Hannah Montana or Miley Cyrus song?
02:46The seven things I hate about you.
02:48The seven things I hate about you.
02:50Yeah.
02:51Oh, yeah.
02:52I vividly remember my iPod just getting it to that song.
