00:02Right, we're here on the edge of Dahir, the edge of the exclusion zone here in southern
00:06Beirut.
00:07And you can see the immense amount of damage over here at the moment.
00:11This is from an Israeli strike a couple of days ago.
00:13All of the control in this area is so tightly in the hands of Hezbollah.
00:18The only reason that we are here or allowed to be here is because we have negotiated access
00:22with them.
00:23And I think it's important to point out that even though there is all this destruction
00:27around, look how busy it is.
00:28You've got a lot of cars coming up and down, a lot of people on scooters.
00:31There are still people living in this area.
00:33They are either refusing to leave or they have nowhere else to go.
00:38But a number of the people that we have spoken to while in this neighbourhood, they have been
00:41shouting things anti-Israeli rhetoric, anti-American rhetoric.
00:45They see this as an attack on their home, an attack on their resistance against Israel.
00:51And that is why they are very, very angry.
00:53And you've got to remember that even when it's a strike that brings down a building like that
00:57one.
00:57The shock waves cause so much damage to other buildings around.
01:01Take a look at all this damage from broken windows strewn all over the footpath here,
01:06right up and down this area.
01:08If we turn around on this direction as well, you can see down this street here, even more
01:15damage.
01:16A car has been hit over there.
01:18There are crews coming through at the moment trying to clean all of this up.
01:21They're using bobcats.
01:22That probably won't make too much of a dent in this situation, but they are trying to clean
01:27up to a point.
01:28We are here still in the red zone.
01:30In this area, Israel has told people to leave from, to evacuate from.
01:34There could be further strikes at any moment.
01:37And I just want to give you a sense of that media control.
01:39I want to pick up on that once more.
01:40We've been shepherded down this street, but for example, just beyond that rubble there,
01:45we couldn't go down that street and shoot vision in the opposite direction.
01:48There's been a man on a scooter who's been following us around, keeping us on our toes
01:53and certainly making sure we are only going to the places Hezbollah wants us to show here.
01:58Very much under tight restriction and allowing press in only on their terms.
