00:08You know, like any Harley-Davidson touring model, this is every bit of a luxury machine and you read that
00:13as soon as you sit on it.
00:16Harley did a very good job at making this bike feel luxurious, expensive.
00:34Harley-Davidson has just released its 2026 Road Glide Limited and Street Glide Limited models.
00:40Now we see the Helix architecture that was introduced in the middle of 2023 on CVO models integrated into full
00:46bodywork with lower fairings and a top trunk on these two models.
00:51Both bikes start at $32,999 with chrome finishes and black finishes at $1,400 to that MSRP.
00:58Ergonomics are a little bit different on both bikes because of the Street Glide's fairing being a little bit closer
01:03to the rider and the Road Glide's being frame mounted and a little farther away.
01:07The Road Glide also has 27 degrees of adjustability in the 10-inch ape hangers where the Street Glide has
01:14not massively adjustable bars and they're a bit more difficult to adjust behind that fairing.
01:19When I was on the Street Glide, I felt much more, you know, a little uptight, a little T-Rex,
01:24a little Driving Miss Daisy.
01:26So much more confident and comfortable on the Road Glide with the adjustable ape hangers.
01:31Both bikes come with a 117 VVT.
01:34So this is the first time we're seeing Harley's variable valve timing integrated into a non-CVO model.
01:39And it makes perfect sense on these bikes because as well as maximizing power output throughout the range, it also
01:45increases efficiency.
01:47Harley-Davidson says this model gets 45 miles per gallon.
01:50And on a long-mile touring bike, that is incredibly valuable.
01:55This thing has six gallons of gas, which means you can easily get over 200 miles of range, even if
02:01you're pushing the thing.
02:02Compared to the outgoing model, 2024, these bikes are both lighter and more powerful, which is exactly what we're after.
02:09Baggers like this, full touring bikes, full dressers, used to be considered like an older guy's bike, a retired person's
02:16bike.
02:17But with the popularity of bagger racing and with the capability of these things increasing so much, the audience has
02:23gotten younger.
02:24You know, they're faster, they're more capable, they're stylish.
02:29I love the way this bike looks and carries.
02:31I'm on the purple and black two-tone, and honestly, I really like the paint.
02:35It's not the highway couch that it used to be.
02:38It's much more capable.
02:39It is a bike with 31-degree lean angle, left and right.
02:42You can send it through a canyon, and you can put your partner on the back and head out for
02:46a weekend if you want to.
02:49Both bikes have a claimed output of 131 foot-pounds of torque and 106 horsepower.
02:54That torque comes on strong early, right when you crack the throttle, and the horsepower, you know, really comes on
02:59as you rev it up.
03:00The bike gets a lot more responsive in the high speeds past about 3,500 RPM, so it's got excellent
03:06passing power.
03:07I like to keep it there in a little bit more sporty riding.
03:10As we expect from Harley-Davidson, this engine has, you know, a good lopey idle.
03:14You feel the vibration of it. It has a parking lot presence from the sound.
03:18But when you rev it up, when you're out riding, it completely smooths out.
03:22No tiring vibration or anything like that.
03:25Up front, we have a 49-millimeter fork with Showa dual bending valve technology that is not adjustable.
03:31Out back, we have dual shocks with remote preload adjustment and three inches of travel.
03:37There are a few things on this bike that are traditional Harley-Davidson that, you know, for a bike that
03:42starts at 33 grand would be really nice to see.
03:45I would love to see an adjustable fork. I would love to see remote-locking hardbags.
03:51I would love to see maybe an adjustable windscreen.
03:53Those are things that have, you know, sort of always been the same within the Harley-Davidson touring family.
03:58Although now CVO models are starting to see remote-locking hardbags.
04:02But on a bike like this, that sort of feels like a miss.
04:05But that said, you do have a handful of comfort amenities.
04:08This bike does come standard with heated grips, heated seat, both rider and passenger.
04:13Big padded passenger backrest on the back. You know, huge 200-watt speaker system.
04:20So, it does still have some of those luxury comfort amenities.
04:24Mainly, again, centered around comfort and climate control.
04:28Throughout the day, the ride was plush. It was comfortable, it was easy, but still maintained some pretty good road
04:33feel.
04:34Any hard-edged bumps were eaten up. You can still tell they were there, but it didn't send a shock
04:38up your spine.
04:39Little bumps, nothing tiresome. It was just, you know, good road feel. Still feel connected to the road you're riding.
04:46We didn't get a chance to really push the suspension.
04:48We didn't end up in any twisties or tight canyon roads today.
04:51So, I can't really speak to high-speed handling, but in low-speed and touring, it was awesome.
04:56Compared to the outgoing 2024 model, the Street Glide loses 23 pounds and the Road Glide loses 13 pounds.
05:02Resulting in a 893 and a 919-pound curb weight.
05:07Of course, with a bike this size, wind management is a huge aspect of riding the bike.
05:12And this has all the duties, all the paces covered.
05:16You have five adjustment points for wind. One on each foot that is fully closeable.
05:21You have a wing next to each knee that is adjustable to deflect away from you or reflect onto you.
05:27And then one right in front of you that's adjustable up and down.
05:30And also, almost fully closeable to help with low-pressure area here.
05:36It's been pretty hot the last couple of days, so it's nice to have that element of control for the
05:41wind.
05:42Cold mornings, hot afternoons.
05:44So, that lets us turn it off in the morning, turn it back on in the afternoon when you want
05:48that breeze to hit you.
05:50As you can see, on either side of the feet, you have a closeable vent here.
05:54You have this wing that can adjust on either side, as well as a flap here that can be fully
05:59closed.
06:00So, it gives you a lot of options, a lot of variation in how you want the wind to hit
06:05your body.
06:05If it's hot, if it's cold, if you have a low-pressure zone in front of you, you can sort
06:09of play with those and get it just how you want.
06:12Also, the windscreen. At 6'4", I'm used to saying that the windscreen is too low and hits me right
06:18in the middle of the head.
06:19But for a normal-sized person, it would work. On this bike, it actually works really well.
06:23I'm right in the pocket. I can feel, you know, the wind go right over my head.
06:27It actually is effective, even for a guy my size.
06:31The windscreen on this road glide is plenty tall.
06:34When we're touring, it goes over my head, which is very nice.
06:38I am covered. There's not buffeting on my helmet.
06:41It's just a nice, protected cockpit.
06:44As we've said before, Harley-Davidson does a really good job at feel, both at the throttle and the clutch,
06:51which makes engine modulation much easier, smoother.
06:55It improves handling at low speeds because you can feel your friction point on your clutch.
07:01You can feel, you know, what the throttle is doing before the bike goes.
07:05So it's consistent, reliable and, you know, easy to use.
07:10It has cornering ABS, cornering traction control and drag torque slip control,
07:15all of which operate pretty quietly in the background, not interrupting the ride, not interrupting the experience,
07:21but increasing rider safety.
07:23The outgoing model was twin-cooled, so the cooling liquid was located in these fairing lowers.
07:28This model has a central cooling system located right in the middle, which opens up those lower fairings for storage.
07:33Now they each have large pockets that are easily accessible while you're riding.
07:37Like any Harley-Davidson touring model, these are luxury machines, and they feel that way absolutely.
07:43The two-tone paint on all of them is incredible.
07:45You know, these new 10 to 20-spoke wheels look awesome.
07:49But really, it's the way that you interact with the bike.
07:52The touch points all feel really sturdy and high quality.
07:54The gauge system in front of you is clear. It's minimal.
07:57There's not a lot of junk or anything around there.
08:00You know, it has this huge clean screen in front of you with the large gauges.
08:04All the touch points feel solid and permanent.
08:07You know, it feels very sturdy. It feels luxurious.
08:12Especially, you know, this model now has the painted fairing back.
08:16It's not just that matte sort of finish.
08:19Harley did a very good job at making this bike feel luxurious, expensive.
08:27These bikes are $32,999.
08:29They're available in your dealerships now.
08:31Go check it out.
08:32Go check it out!
