00:00Now, if you were doing this broadcast last night, you were one of the color analysts and Rob Manfred was
00:05was there.
00:06You were working a pregame show. Whenever you had a chance to interview Rob Manfred during the game, would you
00:09ask him one of these questions about this potential work stoppage?
00:12Not on opening night. You wouldn't. You know why? Because they didn't. Everybody got killed for it.
00:16Yeah, I know that. But, you know, it's like opening night. It's a celebration of the opening of the season.
00:20I mean, I understand. And I saw all the criticism thrown around.
00:25I think you got to ask that Rob Manfred could kind of just dance around.
00:28He's not going to give you a straight answer.
00:30But you kind of have to, you know, it's like, come on, just ask the question.
00:33All right. You can ask the question. But I'm telling you what I think he's doing as the commissioner.
00:37Like he's like caught in between. So he works for the owners.
00:40So he's trying to deliver much like Roger Goodell and his guys are trying to deliver for the NFL owners
00:46as much of a pile of money as they possibly can get.
00:50So a work stoppage doesn't happen.
00:52And also to give them an idea of how much more money they're going to be making and how much
00:56more their teams are going to be worth.
00:58And I think that that may apply enough pressure on that side to be a little bit more sympathetic to
01:05what the players want.
