06:02Ladies and gentlemen, let's hear it once more for your 2026 San Francisco Giants.
06:14All right, everybody.
06:16The teams are ready.
06:18Are the fans ready?
06:21I said, are the fans ready?
06:26This is the day we've been waiting for.
06:28There's no better feeling.
06:30I would rather be anywhere but right here.
06:33This is baseball.
06:34This is America.
06:36Let's go.
07:00We now ask those who are able.
07:02To please rise and remove your caps as we honor America.
07:08Presenting our nation's colors, please welcome the 23rd Marine Regiment Color Guard from San Bruno, California.
07:18And now, here to perform the Star Spangled Banner, please welcome retired Navy Petty Officer First Class, General Wilson.
07:32Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light what so proudly we hail at the twilight's last gleaming,
07:49whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous
07:57the perilous fight.
08:00O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming.
08:09And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still
08:29there.
08:33Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave o'er the land of the free and the home of
09:01the free and the home of the free and the home of the free.
09:01The home of the free and the home of the brave.
09:28And by Adobe on Netflix back in beautiful San Francisco at Oracle Park where the New York Yankees are about
09:373,000 miles away from home in the Bronx.
09:40But for at least one of their players, this is a very familiar feeling part of the country.
09:46And for more on that, we say hello to Lauren Shahadi.
09:49Hi, Matty.
09:49I saw Aaron Judge taking batting practice not too long ago and then he was signing autographs.
09:54And the San Francisco fans let him know how much they wanted him here.
09:58He's a California kid.
09:59He said it almost ended up on the West Coast not once, but twice.
10:03He was drafted by the A's back in 2010.
10:06He said, no thank you.
10:07Then the Giants came after him in free agency.
10:10He said, you know what?
10:11I want to go back to the Bronx.
10:12I want to win a championship there.
10:15Back-to-back MVPs.
10:16And he said, you know what?
10:18I'd give him back for a championship for a World Series ring.
10:21And Aaron Boone said, you know what?
10:22I think I believe him.
10:24King in New York, that is his walk-up song.
10:26And if he brings them the first championship since 2009 in New York, he will bring a starved fan base.
10:32A very, very happy body.
10:34Yeah, Lauren.
10:35Boy, did Aaron Judge remind folks in San Francisco about how good he was and how they missed out on
10:41something pretty special.
10:42When in that first series here, after resigning with the Yankees, he completely destroyed Giants pitching for a weekend.
10:49Yeah, absolutely.
10:50And he made the ballpark look small.
10:52And before Willie hit 30, the last one to do it was Barry Barnes.
10:55But Judge comes in, hits three home runs.
10:57One of the, actually the hardest hit in the metrics era that's ever been hit at this ballpark.
11:02So Aaron Judge just absolutely destroyed in his hometown.
11:05He got Brandon Webb on opening day a few years ago in the Bronx.
11:09And he's licking his chops against a guy he has homered against twice.
11:13And CeCe, the resume, is almost already complete for Cooperstown.
11:18Hard to say for a guy that's still in the middle of a great career.
11:20Yeah, it is.
11:20But I definitely agree with you.
11:22It's already Cooperstown ready.
11:23I mean, you know, three MVPs.
11:25You know, what he means to the franchise being the captain.
11:28You know, him being a hometown guy here, you know, he hits well in this park.
11:32Excited to see him do it again for this series.
11:34But just an incredible leader, incredible player, and, you know, the face of the franchise.
11:38Really the face of the league right now.
11:40What a year.
11:40Fifty-three homers with a batting title.
11:43That's the most homers to ever accompany a batting title season for a player in the history of the sport.
11:50And for Aaron Judge, we're all getting to witness one of the greatest players of our time.
11:54And possibly, you could argue ever, he's the American League home run batting champion.
11:58And just those memories and those stories that are going to last a lifetime.
12:01What is he going to write this year?
12:03You're not surprised what he's able to accomplish.
12:06He's done so many things that have never been done before.
12:08So what better way to kick it off than opening night on Netflix, Matt?
12:13Giants getting ready to hit the field.
12:14So it's time for us to send it to one of the stars of WWE Raw on Netflix.
12:19It's World Tag Team Champion Jey Uso with a special announcement.
12:28Here to lead us off tonight, please welcome our Playball announcer, WWE Superstar, Jey Uso.
12:37And here we are.
12:38ain't less two words Playball!
12:44Yeeeeeee!
12:45Yeeeeeee!
12:46All right jay We See Ya!
12:56Yeeat!
12:57Weeat!
12:57Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
12:59Paqd House today here at Oracle Park, home of the Giants since the 2000 season and for folks here,
13:05They're just happy that the team is home this place has been around since
13:092000 and this is just the sixth opening day that the Giants have had at home
13:16Since the place was open that's hard to believe it is hard to believe in you know
13:20With the thought you know with all the weather we have on the East Coast
13:23You would think that we would we would open up the season out here on the West
13:26We talked about this, you know in the dome or on the West Coast
13:29So it's hard to believe that this is only the sixth opening day in the history of the Spartans
13:32And we were talking about this earlier we're getting our list of questions ready for Commissioner Rob Manfred
13:37Who's going to join us in the booth a little bit later on this evening one of them will be
13:41Opening day on the West Coast and in the Southeast every year
13:45Let's let's avoid the cold let's avoid the cold
13:47The Northeast is shutting down to West Coast for like a month and then like we'll wiggle it in and
13:51see if you can figure that one out
13:52In a perfect world. I also want to ask you guys about playing here at this time of day
13:58Hunter you in particular
13:59I mean the ball goes a little bit more when the sun is shining and it's windy here this afternoon
14:03Yeah, it was a little bit this is known as a you know a pitcher's ballpark
14:07But for whatever reason today
14:09It's early and late in March now getting towards April, but it's carrying so they were kind of head scratching
14:15We're expecting that you know this big ballpark, but the ball was carrying a BP
14:18We'll see how it plays out as the night goes on because it is known to swirl it is known
14:22to shift
14:22But the other thing CC and Matt that's going to be a big factor and Buster was talking about this
14:27the shadows of a five o'clock game
14:29Yeah, how much does this help a max free?
14:31How much does this help a Logan left two guys with extraordinary movement?
14:34But for the shadows it doesn't make a difference that is the mound covered or it doesn't make a difference
14:37the backdrop like what what?
14:39What is going to be the problem?
14:40It definitely it definitely helps to have the mound fully covered because you don't want the ball blinking as it's
14:44coming at you
14:45But still you're looking at like your backdrop is very bright and then the balls coming out of darkness
14:49So it's a very kind of messes with your depth perception. So it'll be a challenge
14:53We'll see if the hitters are able to to power through sounds like excuses to me
15:01Enough pictures is enough excuses big storylines guys as we raise the curtain on a new season is the eight
15:09eight new
15:10Managers taking over around major league baseball and one of them Tony Vitello has such a fascinating story
15:17He is a trailblazer undeniably so the first ever manager in Major League Baseball history to come directly from the
15:24college ranks without a day's worth of
15:26Pro player coach or managerial experience
15:30Tony's open to blaze a trail for the college game. Yeah, I mean absolutely and what he was able to
15:35accomplish at Tennessee
15:36He won the first ever baseball national title for Tennessee
15:40He built it it had had some success
15:42But it was not in a great place when he came in and just really an aggressive mindset and an
15:47exciting electric kind of
15:48Baseball style that he's gonna bring to the Giants
15:51Well, he's got an ace out there that he's handed the ball to on opening day here tonight
15:55Logan Webb the two-time all-star who's coming off a terrific
16:002025 campaign led Major League Baseball in innings of work and games started
16:05Led the National League with a career-high two hundred twenty four strikeouts one of the best in the business
16:12Yeah, you mentioned the numbers right there and the Arsenal to back it up and he's continue. This is his
16:17fifth opening day start
16:18What a badge of honor for the Giants and you know
16:21The world got to see when he got to pitch for USA and what he did against Canada the change
16:26-up sinker combo is extraordinary
16:28It's a little bit off the charts 93 with the sinker moves five at five point nine inches
16:34Drop more than the average so he really tunnels those two pitches extraordinarily well
16:39Then you get to the change-up which is 87 miles an hour
16:42It's a fun devastating mix that he's really able to just keep hitters off balance and get the ground balls
16:47All right, how does he get all those ground balls?
16:49Let's take a look at the pitch mix stat cast 3d powered by Google cloud the pitch usage for Logan
16:55Webb CC
16:56Yeah, he's got the sinker sweeper to change up like like a hundred mentioned
17:01And he's you know, he's attacking the strike zone with all of them
17:04And you know 92 with the with the sinker 90 with the cutter when he mixes it in
17:08But being able to tunnel, you know all of his pitches going east and west is the biggest thing for
17:13him
17:14And like Hunter said, you know people got a chance to see him against team Canada
17:17And see how great he is and being able to anchor down this this this rotation for the Giants something
17:22else to watch tonight
17:23It's the advent of the ABS system
17:26And we'll be watching that certainly the first one will make history the challenge system in play for balls and
17:32strikes
17:33The strike zone will be talked about a lot this year and maybe more importantly today for Logan Webb
17:39He had 99 called strikes on pitches out of the zone last year most in baseball
17:45Here's the lineup. He's pitching to let's take a look at Aaron Boone starting unit presented by Adobe
17:51Grisham judge and Bellinger off the top rice Stanton and Chisholm four through six big Jim carlos Stanton hurt for
17:59some of the spring game
18:02And the 2026 season is underway with strike one to Trent Grisham
18:09Grisham coming off a big year big reason why the Yankees were so productive in 2025
18:17And a quick 0 and 2 count from Logan Webb
18:19There you go Hunter right to that change up right off that fastball right to that change up
18:23He'll he'll mix and match all three of them
18:25The sweeper change up and the sinker and it's tough
18:28You know you see Grisham already out front, but we got the shadows as well
18:33For at least another 10 minutes little smoke and mirrors little smoke and mirrors take advantage
18:39Going to the Grisham
18:44Another interesting storyline is who's going to be the first ABS challenge in Major League Baseball history
18:49All right, let's let's put our heads together. I think it's coming within it 20 minutes
18:54Yeah, that's a big but I think it's gonna happen quick
18:58I think it's gonna be I think it's gonna happen pretty quick too
19:00And the Yankees in spring training have been very aggressive with the
19:03ABS and tapping the helmet pretty aggressively early in game
19:08So I think I think it'll come from that side pretty girl
19:13Count stage you wanted to on Trent Grisham. It's a Yankee lineup. That's very patient in addition to being productive
19:19Their walk rate last year at over 10 percent
19:23Was the best in the sport in addition to leading baseball and runs per game
19:28Slug and on base percentage
19:32And then for the most part they have run back a very similar group as to the team that won
19:3894 games in 2025
19:42Aaron Boone in his ninth season guiding the ship creeping up on 700 wins
19:56The right fielder number 99 aaron judge
20:06Giant fans showing their appreciation for hearing shots
20:10Staying in New York as opposed to coming here. I doubt they'll ever let that go
20:16So he gets the
20:19Here on the road and there's a strike to start the at bat
20:22Well, he could have touched his helmet on that one. I feel like
20:25That was close, but but I feel like they're booing the wrong guy, Matty. They're booing arson judge
20:29I don't know if we had
20:33Now that's this is an interesting, you know, kind of contrast is that
20:37Webb gets the most strike calls last year
20:39Judge is one who is him and Mookie Betts are one and two for the most balls called strikes out
20:45of the zone, so
20:47Interesting dynamic between these two, you know
20:49And that kind of stands to reason when you think about how different the shape of those two strike zones
20:54are
20:55And the ABS challenge rule that the lateral component of the strike zone is standard, but it will
21:01Change based on the height of the player
21:05So a guy like judge might be touching his helmet a lot in challenging balls and strikes this year two
21:10balls and a strike
21:12Three and one to judge
21:14Oakland umpire tonight is the veteran crew chief bill miller
21:18Opening his 27th campaign as a major league umpire
21:23And you see those numbers before judge off off where he's he's trying to pick him carefully
21:30Judge definitely has some ownage of lab. There's no doubt he's got a beautiful, you know
21:33The beautiful sinker judge with the kind of sweepy bat path it they really matches up well
21:39But judge matches up pretty well against
21:40That's my favorite body
21:48Full count Aaron judge three balls and two strikes to the seven-time all-star and three-time american league
21:55mvp
22:00Webb fires the full count pitch and judge fouls away another
22:09Really beautiful at bat I know the expectations first at bat
22:13This is what you want to see early in the game against web
22:19Six pitch at back to trent grisham six pitches to aaron judge
22:24It's another attribute to this yankee lineup
22:28We're going to be the first one
22:29Deep counts the next three two
22:36You're looking for
22:37You started you start that front door. Maybe that's the sweeper he's looking slider three two to try to protect
22:42them instead of turning left
22:44You talked about tunneling CC
22:45This one doesn't turn left it turns right so he starts it right where the slider would be a strike
22:49But it runs in and judge fooled this time
22:51Yeah, it's a good pitch for three two and first that bad in season first that bad and you know
22:55the numbers that he has off of you and
22:57He's just trying to you know get it get it out there and that was a great
23:01So two strikeouts for Webb and that brings up the two-time all-star former national league mvp cody bellinger
23:07Who was one of the big free agent storylines in the offseason?
23:11And after flirting with a couple of different suitors decided to resign with the yankees for a cool
23:17165 million dollars
23:19Which covers the next five years of his playing life?
23:24A very important guy for the yankees to resign according to many
23:29His versatility his productivity he had a great year last year in his first go-around with the yanks
23:36I just think he's going to age well on that part
23:38You know, you know the short porch right field and like you said him being able to play all over
23:43the ballpark
23:43Um, it's just gonna be a great thing for him and the yankees
23:46um as he as he continues
23:48One run for elliot ramos gets there in the high sky as they call it to make for a one
23:53two three start to the seat
23:59Welcome back. Let's take a look at tony vitello's giant starting lineup presented by adobe new giant louisa rise a
24:06three-time batting champ off the top
24:08Matt chapman rafi devers and willie adobe's two through four jungle leap bats number five elliot ramos is in the
24:16sixth spot in left field
24:17We'll talk about the significance of that later
24:19Casey schmidt patrick bailey and new giant harrison bait around things out against four-time
24:25Gold Glover three-time all-star 32 year old max free who is underway
24:31With a miss to louis arrives free coming off a great first year as a yankee
24:37Yeah, going nineteen and five with a two eight
24:40ERA 195 innings and you know seven pitch mix, you know, he throws three different fastballs
24:46He throws a slow curveball at 75 miles an hour
24:48And just able to you know, like we talked about earlier in the in the telecast being able to tunnel
24:53his pitches
24:53And throw everything off of that fastball makes him incredible
24:57Really just the athleticism. He has the gold gloves speak for themselves, but it's power. It's athleticism
25:03And he has everything in the back arsenal and he uses it all
25:11Three balls and no strikes the cancer the weeks arise
25:19Nice
25:19Camera we've got on bill miller the home plate umpire give you an idea how hard it is to hit
25:25major league pitching and the conditions
25:33Lead off hit a report here reminder this big league season get a baja for a blast when a home
25:39run clears 420 feet
25:40You can score a free 20 ounce Mountain Dew baja blast register now at baja blast homeruns.com to unlock
25:47the offer
25:50Lead off hit a report on a four-pitch walk
25:53And that'll bring up the third baseman Matt Chapman
25:59And there's freed's first strike of the year
26:04Max freed by the way making his fourth career opening day assignment
26:10Aaron Boone might have landed on him even if his other
26:14Star pitchers were healthy, but the fact remains that they are not
26:19Speaking of Carlos rodon who's close
26:23And garrett cole and clark smith and clark smith and the fact that you can
26:27Those baby any one of those three guys could just start field opening day
26:30Just talked about the depth of the the Yankees staff has
26:34You know boone said some amazing things about freed and 19 and 5 and great numbers and a big contract
26:39But he thought it was even more than just the numbers. He's low maintenance
26:42He's a guy that you want you like to be around him that loves the game of baseball
26:47I think that that just being around someone who loves to be there loves to pitch and is very smart
26:52It just kind of seeps into everyone else. What do you say?
26:54No, absolutely I mean that that that definitely rubs off on everybody else just makes for a great clubhouse and
26:59you know
27:00Makes for him to be a great clubhouse leader. Absolutely
27:041 2 to Chapman's found a way
27:09Matt Chapman is batted everywhere in a lineup
27:12As a J as an A across the bay batting number two
27:17Kind of grabbed people's attention here for the giants
27:20That's a tony vitello customization matt struck out a lot last year something he hopes is done with
27:27You know laid through a hand injury last year, which kind of cost him some productivity
27:31Yeah
27:31He wasn't able to grip the bat at the end of the last year and you could tell he was
27:34grinding
27:35But the spring training this year the hand healthy
27:37It's a it's just special how it comes off of his bat
27:50So Chapman beats out the double play ball and there's one away with a man at first
27:55Aaron Boone wants to make sure
27:57And no challenge by the Yankees
28:01Right here just nice clean turn make sure you get one Chapman hustling all the way
28:09And then it looks even tough on defense right now at the five the five o'clock starts
28:14It can be a challenge. Yeah, I give you that that ball going going to shortstop, but a little tough.
28:18It can be a challenge for sure
28:20I'll bring up the dh tonight rafi devers
28:22The three-time all-star who joined the giants after midseason trade from boston last year
28:28And ended up having a very productive line played 90 games with the giants after the trade
28:33He hit 20 home runs
28:3651 runs batted in
28:39And somehow despite being traded managed to play in 163 games in the 162 game season
28:47That's that's called street credit right there
28:5163 game season he wants to play
28:54He's been he's just always
28:57Ray of sunshine in the in the batting cages and loves hitting he's great helping his teammates hit
29:02He doing he went through so much tomorrow last year
29:05I mean you forget you mean you it's hard to to forget about his numbers 35
29:11Going through everything he went through moving coast and you know getting labeled
29:14You know kind of a bad guy and going through all of that and still putting up 35 and 100
29:18in this ballpark
29:20Incredibly impressive and now kind of comfortable with the team the organization
29:24Let's see what he can do because he's one of the best in the business
29:28Look top that grisham got a late break on and it drops into no man's land
29:34A sun aided base hit off the bat of raffi devers has runners at first and third with only one
29:41out
29:45So right here you see this and a lot of series at least one of these balls happens a series
29:51at oracle park
29:52There's a lot of wind but not typically the the five o'clock start
29:55It just seems like he can't see through the sun right there
29:58And that that's a tough break for the yankees right there
30:00And great base running by matt chapman being able to recognize that seeing that christian wasn't gonna get to that
30:04ball and being able to take the extra base
30:06Absolutely a 74 mile an hour blast
30:12Those are the ones that that's a knock
30:15Those are the ones that keep you up at night. Yeah
30:18Here's willie adamas now giants with a chance to get on the board first adamas coming off a 30 homer
30:24season as a giant last year
30:26Why is that significant was the first 30 homer season by a san francisco giant
30:32Since barry bonds hit 45 in 2004
30:36And number 30 came on the last day of the season last year
30:40One and one doing the fact that it took that long how much does that say about what barry was
30:44able to accomplish here?
30:45Yeah, I mean it speaks to this ballpark, too
30:48Right like how you know how tough it is to hit homers here
30:50But you know barry was you know going left right all over dead center
30:56triple valley I mean he was hit the ball over this one
30:59Well batting practice could make you mental here and you just watch barry just splish splash man
31:06Unbelievable
31:08What a what an absolute ballplayer power hitter best in the game best
31:14Two balls and a strike the counts willie adamas max breed struggling to find command with his cutter
31:20And that was a pitch that was such an ally for him last year and part of the
31:25He's got an explanation for his easy transition to new york through a lot of cutters last year more so
31:31than ever before
31:34So far the command hasn't been there and I know it's early small sample
31:38Yeah, it's early you just get getting nerves, you know first first inning of opening day
31:42You know you have the four pitch walk and I think it's just nerves
31:46And his first strike out of the game's a big one two gone now with runners still at the corners
31:53And that's that cutter up right there
31:55I mean, you know you have a chance to throw it there and give it up a little bit and
31:58you know
31:59The shape of the cutter
32:01I don't know about
32:02But when you guys see that shape and it just stays up over the middle of the plate
32:07If you get that swing and miss when you get that swing through
32:09Because I think you guys think it's coming in
32:11Yeah, the top of the zone cutter is just so hard to get to not only for a right-handed
32:16batter especially
32:17It's just a tough plane to match and get the barrel to
32:22First ball picking a ground block for Chisholm that gets free to the Yankees out of any first inning trouble
32:30To buy Adobe always on fan engagement
32:33It starts with Adobe official partner of Major League Baseball and by Intuit TurboTax
32:39Now this is Texas
32:44Logan Webb breeze through the top of the Yankee order and route to a 1-2-3 first inning top
32:49of the second for Ben Rice Giancarlo Stanton and Jazz Chisholm
32:53And Webb's going to get a first pitch out on Rice
32:57A little bit more on tonight's Giants starter. Let's check in with Lauren
33:01And Matty watching Logan's delivery because I spoke with Matt York an assistant pitching coordinator
33:06He's coached Logan all through his years
33:08He told me if the ball's jumping out of his hand
33:10CC if it's hingeless and looks effortless if the ball's moving to both sides of the plate he's on
33:16I love that analysis
33:18I mean, you know, having having the ball be able to jump out of your hand
33:21Being able to throw the ball both sides of the plate is something that is going to be important for
33:25him
33:25I think pitching inside with, you know
33:28With the velocity that he has is super important. So that's something to look out for
33:32Now bring up the five-time All-Star Jean Carlos Stanton
33:36And 10 through the gap in right center field
33:39And Stanton who ended spring training much better than he started it with
33:44Elbow injuries that cost him some time
33:47Has picked up right where he left off in Tampa with an at-bat that gives him a base hit
33:51Yeah, who was talking about is like we just need to bottle him up
33:54He might not be able to open a bag of chips, but he's ready to head
33:57And there you go got him one right out the gates first in the game for the yankees and
34:03You know now you go yeah
34:05That line got a lot of run
34:08Spring training my elbows hurt so badly
34:09I can't open a bag of chips and here he is playing an opening day
34:16He had no chance to get out of the way of that point tracer ball
34:21Got him in the shoulder
34:25Yeah, that one just got away from there
34:27You know and I think jazz saw it late from the shadows
34:30But yeah, it was just a fastball got away from there
34:33Yeah, that's
34:34You know it's every now and then this happens in this one. Yeah, just really trying to go up and
34:38in and
34:39Oh and it's supposed to come back and get some right in the ribs
34:43Oh, where's Chris rock? How much for one of them ribs?
34:47Ouch
34:49First and second the hard way with nobody on strike one two last year's major league stolen base leader
34:56shortstop Jose Caballero
35:01Acquired from Tampa in a trade deadline deal
35:08And as something of an insurance policy at shortstop
35:12Anthony Volpe who is starting the year on the injured list still very much in the plans for the yankees
35:17but
35:17Volpe was wobbly at the end of the year
35:20So the yankees went out and grabbed Caballero who played a lot in the postseason for them
35:25And there's a shot into left field
35:27Ramos goes to get it
35:29Stanton on his way around his score a throw comes into second
35:33Great play by
35:37Arise just to keep that ball from getting into right field in the meantime the yankees are on the board
35:42first
35:43It's won nothing new york
35:46And this one right here a rocket off of Caballero's bat
35:49And he was a bit of a catalyst in the playoffs last year as well as a guy with a
35:53lot of speed a good approach at the plate
35:55He plays good defense but look at that that's a pure line drive off of a tough
35:59Tough web right here and hits the cutoff and they have a chance to pick him off at second
36:03But fortunately for the giants this hits off a Caballero and saves possibly two runs
36:08Yeah, I mean that was a good swing, you know, especially up the fastball land getting something soft put a
36:13good swing on that
36:13And, you know, give the Yankees up one nothing
36:16That'll bring up the third baseman Ryan McMahon
36:19First RBI of 2026
36:22Belongs to Jose Caballero
36:25And the fire's still hot here second and third with only one away
36:37Time falls behind oh and two a sinker is nasty coming off that hit
36:43McMahon has a lot of bats off the web they battled quite a bit him being with the rockies and
36:48It's a little bit different though his numbers in colorado and the numbers here you get that good humidity here
36:53in san francisco
36:550-2 from Webb
36:58Bouncer headed up the middle and that's going to get through and drive in a couple of runs
37:033-0 New York
37:09And that right there is just one of those 20 hoppers good things happen if you put the ball in
37:15play right here so well
37:16He gets out of him right there and honestly gets the swing that he wants you want to get a
37:20ground ball
37:21And take a look right here or you'd better rather be lucky than good find a hole and
37:26Yankees feeling some momentum
37:27Yeah that was that change up there you know 0-2 pitch right there those are the ones that keep
37:31you up at night
37:31Look at Webb his reaction to that you know knowing they left that pitch up
37:36And the first pitch to Austin Wells is served into the opposite field
37:43That is five straight Yankees to reach base safely
37:48First and second with only one away
37:52Being aggressive yeah heading is contagious right now and this is going to be pitching coach
37:56Justin message come out and try to slow down the bleeding
37:59But you're right there being aggressive
38:02They're they're finding holes
38:03I think the Caballero momentum right there you get kind of you know the hit by pitch
38:08You work yourself, you know Giancarlo a nice little kind of CNI single and then watch that was a good
38:13night nice line drive
38:13But yeah everything just coming off the bat's hot
38:15This is an offense that you know there were tops in the American League
38:18It's not the most runs in Major League Baseball
38:22So that they're showing it right here right out of the gates brought it back
38:25Yeah, that might be the nature of the visit from first-year pitching coach just a message
38:29Who came out to give Webb a little bit of a breather
38:33Yeah, they're coming back to this thrower
38:35They've already scored now, but right there gave gave Webb a chance the fact that that hit Caballero
38:41The throw was a little bit offline from
38:45Adamas
38:46So first and second with three runs in it's still only one away first pitch to Trent grisham cranked up
38:52and sent into the right center field
38:55McMahon's gonna score easily they're gonna wave
39:13And they're gonna need to check on grisham. This was a bit of a collision at third base
39:17But that's triples alley right there
39:20And man out again like they are just being super aggressive swinging at everything up
39:24Got a first pitch fastball right there and put his good swing on that and triples out
39:31Training staff had to check on grisham
39:37And we'll take another look grisham just an apps. This is purified right here
39:42Pitch down change up
39:44change up
39:45And not too often does Webb give up five this quick this is the leading the league leading in innings
39:50pitched and
39:52Nobody anywhere close to that one. Nothing you can do. It's off to the races. Webb knows it
39:59We'll take a look at this collision at third. This is a pretty big collision chapman's a bit of a
40:03brick another
40:05That he just gets face plants into chapman who's trying to catch the ball
40:10I mean what is going on here with throws that have hit runners twice in the last five minutes
40:17And the yankees are absolutely teeing off on an elite starting pitcher here
40:24And like Hunter said Logan Webber is just you know five runs so quick
40:27I mean you just out there just trying to get ahead and these guys are just are hacking
40:31But that's the way you have to get an elite pitcher
