01:12Second night, back-to-back, always a challenge in the NBA.
01:16Nuggets have become pretty good about getting the job done.
01:20What about tonight?
01:20Well, they're going to have to do it after an emotional win against kind of what I think is going to be a big rival in the Western Conference this year.
01:27Late night, got in about 3.30.
01:29And here's a team you've already beaten a couple times, you take it for granted.
01:32Got to buckle down, win this game tonight, most important.
01:35Nuggets won two-punch spectacular last night.
01:38They combined for 60 points.
01:40Talking to Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray also had 19 assists and made key plays in the third and fourth quarter.
01:45Well, and after a little bit of a struggle as a team to score in that first half, they scored 66 in the second.
01:50It was because of these guys.
01:52Third quarter belonged to Jokic.
01:53He had 18 points of his 34 in that third quarter and spread a lead out to double figures,
01:59including a nasty dunk that no one was ready for.
02:01And then Murray said, okay, thanks, big fella.
02:03I'll take it from here.

02:05He gets 14 of his in that fourth quarter, including a couple just monster.
02:10That jump shot was monster.
02:11Keep the Houston Rockets at bay.
02:14And then that layup was as good of a layup under pressure as you'll see.
02:18Well, last night, the Nuggets bench, very, very good, led by Bruce Brown.

02:23Yeah, this bench has been pretty exciting.
02:25And Bruce Brown's energy, we talked to Adam before the game,
02:28and he said he and Spencer Jones have come in and are igniting this team.
02:32On the defensive end, most importantly, now when they add some offense to it, on top of it,

17:18In the 15 games that the Nuggets have played, their defense is ranked fourth overall in the entire NBA.
17:22Last season, they finished 21st.
17:25However, you are without two of your best defenders now.
17:28No Christian Brown, no Aaron Gordon.
17:30Two players that have significantly impacted the improvements in areas the Nuggets wanted to get better.
17:35Transition defense, three-point defense, paint defense.
17:38These are all areas, guys, that the Nuggets talked about at training camp.
17:41And, Scott, you mentioned this to Coach Adelman pregame.
17:43The bench defense has really provided a spark.
17:46So that next man up mentality here has to continue.
17:49The effort, the buy-in on that side of the basketball has to continue as well.
17:52In case that defense starts with energy, and that's what he was talking about with Bruce and Spencer Jones.

24:34Guys, Peyton Watson knew this was a big offseason for him.
24:36So to take his game to the next level, he spent a lot of time in Denver this summer talking,
24:40working with coaches, building his game up.
24:43But he also worked in L.A. with former NBA player Darrell Wright, tweaking some of his
24:47shooting mechanics.
24:48Peyton told me the two of them worked on decreasing the dip in his shot to make it so there was
24:52less room for error.
24:53He said with how long his arms are, the goal was to shorten that range of motion so he can
24:57more accurately shoot the same way every single time.
25:00Watson also told me that he talked to Wright about defending Kobe Bryant.
25:04So both sides of the ball were worked on.
25:05And clearly that work has paid off.
25:07He's performing better in nearly every statistical category.
25:10Well, just if you take a look with your two eyes, his shot looks about the same every time
