00:03And recently, a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight attendant named Esther took to TikTok,
00:08giving her followers some tips straight out of the pros' playbook,
00:11including why you should put your shoes in the hotel safe.
00:14She reveals that if your international charger isn't working,
00:16or you forgot your converter altogether,
00:18most hotel TVs these days have USB plug-ins.
00:21She also adds that most hotels will provide shower caps as well,
00:25something she says can be used for more than just keeping your hair dry.
00:27You can also place your shoes in one of them before packing,
00:30to be sure nothing makes its way from the bottom of your feet
00:32and onto your cleanly packed clothing,
00:34or use it as a sort of sleeve when using the hotel remote,
00:37a barrier between you and any germs that might be living there.
00:40But why would you put your shoes in a hotel safe?
00:42Esther says that one of the biggest pitfalls travelers run into
00:45is leaving something in the room, often in the hotel safe,
00:48an out-of-sight, out-of-mind sort of thing.
00:49So by putting your shoes in there,
00:51you ensure you can't really leave the room without also getting into the safe
00:54and retrieving your shoes.
00:55Just make sure you remember the combination.
