00:40So this is end game content,
00:42Aloy is going to meet a new companion
00:43and she's going to have to unravel a new mystery.

00:54What Aloy struggles
00:56with is interpersonal
00:58relationships and since Forbidden West
01:01she's learned that
01:02there's no point in saving the world if I'm not
01:04connecting with the people in it.
01:06Aloy is used to being the person that comes in.
01:08This is what we're doing. I have the knowledge.
01:10So I'm really excited for people
01:12to meet Seika because she's such a different
01:14character than we've had before.
01:16Aloy may have met her match a little bit.

01:25this huge franchise was such an honor.

01:30and filled with gratitude
01:31to have this opportunity to work with this team.

01:37It's my first week of mocap.
01:38I am totally brand new to this.
01:41So it was, it was intimidating.
01:43Getting into the suits
01:44and the helmet and the cameras
01:46it was very foreign to me
01:48so I was forced to use my imagination
01:51in a way that I never have before
01:53and it was awesome.
01:55Once I found that freedom
01:57I was like, oh, this is cool.
02:01You use the environment.
02:03Like maybe there's waves over there.
02:04There's seagulls in the sky.
02:06I'm just trying to paint a picture a little bit.
02:08Ashley is amazing to learn from.
02:11How she uses her voice,
02:12how she uses her body,
02:13how she uses her face.
02:14I was just taking it all in
02:16and that was extremely informative.
02:19I felt very comfortable
02:20just casually running lines with her.
02:22I think we have a very similar
02:24way of working.

02:30It's very important to me
02:32as the person portraying the lead
02:34for people to feel like they're coming
02:36into an environment where they're welcomed,
02:38respected, appreciated
02:40and also as a performer
02:42that I'm being present with her,
02:44that I'm locked in,
02:45that I'm giving as much as I can.
02:46And it's really cool to see her
02:48learning this process so quickly.
02:51It's actually quite similar to Seika
02:53in the universe.
02:54And she's crushing it.
02:59Okay.
03:01We're doing this.
03:08Seika is a Kwen,
03:09one of our tribes.
03:10but the Kwen are very prescriptive
03:13about who can be what type
03:15of role in the tribe.
03:17Seika's a warrior.
03:18She's a fighter.
03:19Because she's so similar to Aloy,
03:21there is a sort of strange power dynamic
03:23that Aloy is not used to.
03:28Another strong...
03:29Can I say badass?
03:31Another strong badass woman warrior,
03:35somebody that matches her level.
03:37I don't think she's ever seen that before.
03:40Seika also has more of a community.
03:44Aloy is kind of this lone ranger.
03:46But it's interesting how Seika ends up sharing
03:49that aspect along with Aloy.
03:54when we were auditioning and I saw Kylie,
03:57it was pretty awesome because what really drew me to her
04:00was she got mad.
04:01This character is a good fighter.
04:02She's really independent.
04:03She's someone who's going to do things her own way.
04:05But we also needed vulnerability.
04:07Someone who really has a lot of emotional intensity.
04:10and Kylie really brought both sides to that equation.
04:14But it was really that spark of anger
04:15where it was kind of like,
04:16oh yeah, this is really going to work.
04:18And action.
04:20There's something you're not telling me.
04:24Ugh!
04:24You're just like a diviner full of secrets.
04:28Oh yeah?
04:29What about you?
04:31The way you reacted to that mural in the ruin?
04:34Care to explain?
04:36I think the key to bringing something new to the franchise
04:39really has to do with new mysteries.
04:41A new way that the ancient world
04:44or the tribal world really grabs Aloy.
04:46And that's got to be interconnected with her character,
04:49her personality, her history,
04:50and what she's going to learn about herself.
04:59Every new story brings something else
05:01that she's addressing or facing
05:04that isn't even just about the mission,
05:06it's about her and what's going on with her.
05:10Seika's biggest motivation
05:12is the love that she has for her family,
05:16for her tribe, for the people and the world.
05:19Watching Seika through this journey
05:22will really open up people's eyes
05:24to what it means to love.
