00:05Mohamed Kouros is Ghana's most exciting attacking weapon.
00:12The Tottenham Forward is also a textbook example of how to progress from the streets of Accra to the UEFA
00:18Champions League.
00:21When Kouros was a teenager, he was recruited by the Right to Dream Academy,
00:27now a global enterprise under the auspices of Egypt-born British billionaire Mohamed Mansour,
00:34the first centre was based in Accra.
00:38After honing his craft in Ghana, Kouros was transferred to Nordsjylland in the Danish Superliga,
00:44one of three professional teams owned by Mansour.
00:50He debuted as an 18-year-old and became a regular during his two-season spell.
00:56Before he attracted the attention of scouts at European giants, Ajax.
01:03Kouros' first couple of seasons in Amsterdam were injury-interrupted.
01:08But fit and firing in his third, he flourished.
01:13He did enough to convince West Ham United to bring him to East London for £38 million.
01:20And he became an instant fan favourite.
01:23It's been important for us all season, and it will be important for us in the future going forward as
01:28well.
01:29He's a young boy who's only just come to the Premier League and settled in incredibly well.
01:36It's not easy to start the Premier League well. A lot of the players who come from overseas find it
01:41quite difficult.
01:42Blessed with strength and skill, Kouros took to the Premier League like a duck to water.
01:48Thrilling Hammers fans with his direct style of play, constantly looking to take players on and create chances.
01:56He scored 14 goals in 45 matches, including a stunning solo effort against Freiburg that was voted the best in
02:04that year's Europa League.
02:07Because of the experience he's had, he was in Denmark first of all, then he ends up in Holland.
02:13And now in the Premier League, I think it's given him maybe a better coverage of different leagues and different
02:19players, etc.
02:20I think he's done incredibly well for a relatively young boy coming to play in the Premier League.
02:27After two years with the Hammers, Kouros was a man in demand.
02:31I think he's a good player. That's for sure. Everybody sees this.
02:34He can play multiple positions. I think he played here for Ajax against Liverpool as a nine as well.
02:40So, he's a big threat.
02:42Eventually, he made the short journey to Tottenham Hotspur as the marquee signing for new head coach Thomas Frank.
02:49Kouros, I think his hold-up play and taking care of the ball, getting out of tricky situations,
02:54his one-on-one skills, creating opportunities for the team, I think was top class.
03:01And on top of that, I think he's working extremely hard.
03:05So, he will make a lot of the fans be very excited with his offensive actions.
03:11And he will also help the team defensively.
03:13Kouros from West Ham United, I love him. I think he'll be a superstar here at Spurs.
03:18Alongside his impressive club career, Kouros has been a regular for the Black Stars,
03:23scoring at least one international goal each year since debuting in 2019.
03:29At the 2022 World Cup, he found the back of the net twice in Ghana's group stage victory over South
03:35Korea.
03:36But it wasn't enough to send his country through to the knockout phase.
03:42In 2026, Mohamed Kouros will take in his second World Cup as one of his team's leaders,
03:48playing at the highest level of club football and showing the way for other promising young footballers in his homeland
03:55how to reach the very top of the game.
03:57The game of the game is a great game.
03:58And you can play with the new game.
04:00And you can play with it.
