00:06The rich heritage and culture of international and South American football
00:11was celebrated at an exhibition in the Paraguayan capital Asuncion
00:15to coincide with the 75th FIFA Congress, which the country hosted for the first time.
00:24The historic exhibition, titled FIFA 120th Year Anniversary, featured original trophies,
00:32football relics and interactive experiences, and was jointly organised by the FIFA Museum
00:38and the Museo Conmebol.
00:44Paraguay's hosting of the 75th FIFA Congress in May 2025 coincided with 100 years of FIFA membership.
00:53The Paraguayan Football Association, having joined at the 14th Ordinary Congress in Prague in May 1925.
01:04Yes, it's fantastic to be here in Asuncion, and we have this special exhibition for three days here,
01:11together with Conmebol for the 120 years of FIFA and 110 years of Conmebol.
01:16So, we brought some iconic trophies here for the people of Paraguay and also the delegates of the FIFA Congress
01:23to visit.
01:24So, we are very happy that we could do this together with Conmebol.
01:27So, thanks as well to the president of Conmebol, Alejandro Dominguez, and FIFA Vice President, of course.
01:35And, no, happy and proud to see this, and I'm sure it will be a big success in the next
01:39couple of days with a lot of passionate Paraguayan fans
01:43who will be able to see the FIFA World Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, the FIFA Women's World Cup,
01:49and also the Conmebol trophies, the Copa Libertadores, the Copa America.
01:53So, yeah, very proud and excited.
01:56They're very important because, you know, we have a duty as FIFA to bring football all around the world.
02:03And today, we are here in Paraguay.
02:05We have the FIFA Congress in two days.
02:07And to bring these trophies to the passionate people of Paraguay,
02:12I had the opportunity to visit a league game earlier this week,
02:16and you could see, you know, the big passion they have.
02:18And everybody I talk to here in Paraguay have a connection with football.
02:22They all have a favorite club and, of course, a national team.
02:24So, to enable us to bring these trophies and this beautiful exhibition,
02:30this is what FIFA is about.
02:32And, you know, showing football and also the iconic things that football and FIFA have created.
02:39And, unfortunately, you can't always have the opportunity to see,
02:43and to bring it here is something really special and that we, as an organization, are very proud of.
