00:30Flagship Studios, developer of the much-anticipated Hellgate London, are looking to capture the attention of the online gaming public
00:36with their new, massively multiplayer online RPG, Mythos.
00:41Mythos.
00:49Mythos isn't your average video game. Not only is it free to download and play, its user interface is incredibly
00:55accessible and it draws upon many proven themes present in Flagship Founder's previous smash hit, Diablo II.
01:01What I'd like to see out of Mythos is a game that people are instantly familiar with but is new
01:09to them and I think we're coming really close to getting that.
01:13It has that familiarity with anybody who's played Diablo or Diablo II, they know how to play it, they come
01:18straight into it but the feel of it is updated and it's a little less dark but it still has
01:25enough interest to hold people.
01:27And I think getting something that people can really get excited about and play, you know, in short time spans,
01:35you know, 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there, rather than epic long games that require hours and hours at a
01:42time.
01:43It's click and fight, you know, it's just your standard dungeon crawl, you just use one hand, you mouse around
01:49and you click on the bad guys and you kill them.
01:52We're trying to update it in that we involve more of the real actual kind of MMO style play.
01:59Basically what we have is instanced multiplayer areas where in certain areas of the game you see everyone who's online
02:10in that area and they're all together,
02:13there's kind of that community gathering area feel where people can talk about quests they want to do, items that
02:20they've got, you know, if they need help doing something, they can ask there.
02:25And then from those kind of hub areas, it forks out into the dungeons and overland areas that take you
02:33to dungeons where you can take a group out and do your quests and play the game.
02:40With the Mythos beta program currently underway and over 10,000 players participating, the Mythos community is already a hotspot
02:47of activity.
02:48Players will no doubt be excited to hear that Zone 2 of the Mythos beta is now available to explore.
02:53With revamped features, a new town hub, and countless new items and quests, the world of Mythos is more immersive
03:00and dynamic than ever before.
03:02Zone 2, we're trying to mix it up. Zone 1 was, you know, we are trying to start the player
03:08off a little slower.
03:10Zone 2, we're really trying to push it up a little bit more, trying to make a lot more humanoid
03:15monsters kind of appear, give them a lot more different skills, a lot more personality.
03:21We're hoping people won't be able to just walk into the Zone and just feel like they're going through cake.
03:27Like, it's really easy, you know, we want people to actually, you know, like every once in a while to
03:30like really feel like a little tense going into certain places.
03:34We want, you know, that's, and Zone 2 is a completely new area.
03:39It's a desert.
03:41We have these giant canyons now, you know, a lot of the stuff is just no longer in dungeons, you're
03:45outside.
03:46I feel a little strongly that it's great, it's a great Zone, and we always, the nice thing of our
03:52game is we can always go back to the first Zone.
03:53So, you know, we went back to the first Zone during this new release coming up and modified a lot
03:58of stuff that was broken.
04:00And, you know, that's just what this game's about, you know, just making it as fun as possible and trying
04:06to get it out to the masses and, you know, hear what people say, how people play.
04:10And, yeah, it's pretty tough, but, you know, what we get from it is awesome.
04:17With an ever-expanding beta program and release on the horizon, Mythos players the world over have something to look
04:23forward to.
04:23A world that's free to explore, an interface that's easy to learn, and gameplay that will have you constantly coming
04:29back for more.
