00:00At number 10, the Detroit Tigers, you have projected at 85 wins.
00:03At number 9, the Milwaukee Brewers, you have projected at 86.
00:07Two teams at 87 wins, number 8, the Chicago Cubs.
00:10Number 7, the Boston Red Sox.
00:12And number 6, the 89 possible win, New York Mets.
00:17So again, Mets 6, Red Sox 7, Cubs 8, Brewers 9, and Tigers 10.
00:23When you look at this group of five, who sticks out like a sore thumb?
00:27The Brewers at 86 and 76, because they have won the division three straight years.
00:35Who are we to doubt them?
00:36It's kind of like the Guardians, except the Guardians on steroids.
00:39Like, these are the model breakers in Major League Baseball.
00:43I'm getting a little bit worried about the rotation, are you?
00:46Because they announced Jacob Mizorowski is going to be the opening day starter.
00:50Great. Jacob Mizorowski throws fuzz. He's incredibly fun to watch.
00:53What about Brandon Woodruff? Why is he being moved to fifth in the rotation?
00:56And now Chad Patrick is the 2. Now Kyle Harrison is the 3.
01:01Now Brandon Sprott is the 4. Now we can like these guys, but at the end of the day,
01:04they've got to prove it, right? I think that's fair to say.
01:08We can like them. They still have to prove it.
01:11You lose Freddie Peralta, obviously that doesn't help.
01:13Now I love the bullpen, and I think the offense is going to struggle to hit for some pop.
01:21But the good thing is they do all the little things really, really well.
01:26I wanted to move the Brewers higher. They're probably going to be the team that proves me wrong.
01:32They just are. Even though I've been pretty bullish on the Brewers.
01:34I bet I'm like 8-1 to win the division two years ago. They were my division pick last year.
01:39Just this year, they fall one spot short of the Cubs.
01:42And I also think it's important to note, of this group of five, very similar record predictions.
01:49Like these are, once we're in this bucket, these are the teams I love.
01:53Like I think the Tigers have built out a great rotation.
01:55I think they have a solid lineup and a solid bullpen.
01:57Just a really solid team that wins the Central.
02:00Brewers and Cubs going to fight for the division.
02:02Red Sox, one of the best rotations in baseball.
02:04Would love one more big impact bat.
02:07I don't mean to open up old wounds about Bregman and about, you know, Raphael Devers.
02:12But it is true.
02:13And with the Mets, again, that's a six-win jump from last year.
02:16I think they're greatly improved.
02:18But I feel like this bunch is ranked correctly.
02:24Of course it is. I made it.
02:25Yeah.
02:26I like that you have the Tigers at the bottom of this bunch.
02:29To be honest, I would think about having Baltimore over the Tigers.
02:33And you could say that's absolutely criminal and insane.
02:37And I would say, okay, I get it on the heels of 25.
02:40But here's the thing.
02:41I don't think it's criminal and insane.
02:43I have the Tigers at 85 wins.
02:45I have the Orioles at 84 wins.
02:47So like, if you said that, I'm not.
02:49No, but listen, you are a sensationalist that will take really anything I say and say,
02:55you are out of your flipping mind.
02:59No, you know what we are right now?
03:00Unfortunately, whether you want to admit it or not, we're the Spider-Man meme.
03:03We're just pointing right back at each other.
03:05We do this to each other.
03:07Yeah.
03:07I like to think we're a little bit more first take-ish than Spider-Man meme, but I don't
03:12know.
03:13You're doing the Spider-Man meme in your room.
03:15Good for you.
03:15Good for you.
03:17So the Tigers at 10, I just have a lot of questions about the Tiger lineup, to be honest
03:21with you.
03:21And when you look on paper, that Tiger lineup looks pretty darn solid, right?
03:26Riley Green, Kerry Carpenter, just by name value alone, it's pretty good.
03:30Dylan Dingler had himself a heck of a year in 25.
03:32No reason to think he can't repeat it in 26.
03:36Gleyber Torres, I mentioned Kerry Carpenter as well, Torkelson.
03:40At the end of the day, those guys are way more volatile than a lot of other stars around
03:44Major League Baseball.
03:45Riley Green is in the James Wood camp for me, where, yes, he can win a game by himself.
03:50Like four plate appearances from Riley Green can beat a Major League Baseball team three
03:54to two.
03:55But Riley Green can also strike out four times in a given baseball game, and those can be
04:01huge spots.
04:02And all of a sudden, you're waving the white flag.
04:05He runs through stretches where he makes me go gray.
04:08James Wood makes me go gray.
04:11Torkelson will run through stretches where he's not even playable at the Major League level.
04:15This guy was optioned on the heels of a 31-homer season in 2024.
04:20So there are guys that jump out to me in this lineup, and I say, OK, yeah, name value is
04:24good.
04:24But at the end of the day, do I love them?
04:26I'm just not sure I love them.
04:28The other team that jumps out.
04:30Can I say one quick thing?
04:31Yeah.
04:31Yeah.
04:32Really quick.
04:33I kind of agree with you.
04:35Yeah.
04:36And by kind of, I mean like 80% agree with you.
04:39Yeah.
04:39My counter would be, all right, you might not love them, but do you like them?
04:43Because there's nobody in the Tigers lineup that I dislike, where I'm like, ugh.
04:48It's like everyone, I agree, it's not this crazy top end.
04:53Yeah.
04:53But they also have a pretty high floor, and when you combine that with a great rotation
04:58and a good bullpen, you win 85 games.
05:01Sure.
05:03That's my counter.
05:04Yeah, that's a fair counter.
05:06I also don't really take that into consideration.
05:09Like, I look around, I'm like, yeah, I'm fine on all these guys.
05:12But there are more lineups in baseball than there aren't, where I look at it, and I'm
05:16like, hmm, three of these guys I strongly dislike having in this lineup, and I would
05:19look for improvements.
05:20With the Tigers, you don't necessarily do that, and with McGonagall, that reigns even
05:24more true.
05:25I'm a little surprised you don't have the Mets in the top five.
05:29I love the Mets offseason.
05:31Me too.
05:32Love it.
05:32Me too.
05:33It's amazing.
05:34It's funny.
05:34We'll get into the top five.
05:36They have the same projected record as five and four.
05:40Cool.
05:41So, you know, I love them.
05:43I think they're one of the best teams in baseball.
