00:05a two to one price 37 and 22 is the record for the pinstripes this year but a dollar and 30 cents

00:13behind the detroit tigers plus 330 to win the american league pennant and the tigers have a

00:19better record than new york frankly have a better record than everybody else around mlb the tigers

00:24have the best record in baseball at 40 and 22 and zeno at the end of last year the tigers earning a

00:31playoff berth for the first time in nearly a decade winning a playoff game for the first time in a

00:37decade of course there was optimism in the motor city entering the 2025 mlb season but this 40 and 22

00:46best start this year best record in the bigs how surprised are you by the start detroit has had

00:53this season well i'm surprised by their offense a little bit being as competent as it is on the

01:00road last year the tigers got there with pitching right like that's how they closed out the season

01:03and even jack flarity is not having a great year by jack flarity standards at all so the fact that

01:08their offense has been able to pick up they're one of the highest scoring teams on the road major league

01:11baseball this year and that's really been the difference for them the fact that they're scoring

01:15runs at an abnormal rate for what we're used to seeing from them is really what's indicative of why

01:21the tigers are where they are and in fact if you were somebody as you see there who took their

01:25opening day win total over you feel pretty good about that bet at this point in time i i don't

01:31think you're going to have a problem getting there when they're going to get to you know three quarters

01:34of the way there by the time the all-star break comes around so uh good spot for the tigers if you

01:39go back to those uh world series odds though you know we talked before about the difference the

01:43distance between the dodgers and everybody else and how it was mispriced you look at the yankees and

01:47the tigers for the al pennant there yeah i think those prices are about right and i do think the

01:52gap is that big between the tigers and yankees and everybody else right like that seems more

01:58appropriate to me here i can make a bet on the yankees i can make a bet on the tigers because i

02:02think there's a clear line all those other teams have a ton of flaws now the only team you can really

02:07look at is the houston atros because they've played this game with us for the last two years

02:11where we have a ho-hum really boring bad april we sort of sneak up on people a little bit in may

02:16and then june comes around and the astros decide guess what we're going to start playing the

02:20baseball that everybody knows we can play and then go out steal the al west and put ourselves

02:24in position to win in the postseason you can't deny the experience you can't deny the world series

02:29pedigree of that team and the guys most of the guys in that clubhouse so you want to take a flyer

02:33on the astros certainly wouldn't be mad at you still think there's a big gap between the tigers

02:37and yankees and them but it might be worth a shekel or two given their their pedigree

02:41we've got a lot of stuff here and we're all going to the same place here at once and

02:43we're talking about the same place here and we'll take a walker and have to be on the

02:45same time here we have to talk about that right now so we're going to be able to

02:48get a little bit harder this is they're already gRLing to be able to do it really and

02:51to be able to see the teachers in their heads up keep bringing them to the field

02:55so we can really pick up the staff up and see if they want to make sure what they're doing

02:57for us is on this team and they want to do that right now so we're not going to see
