00:41While countless heroes emerged to play their part in humanity's survival during the conflict,
00:47the most significant was easily that of Spartan super-soldier Master Chief Petty Officer John 117,
00:54accompanied at the close of the Covenant War by the incredibly advanced AI,
00:58known as Cortana.
01:01Against incredible odds, the Master Chief and Cortana secured victory for humanity against the Covenant,
01:07but at great cost.
01:09In the aftermath, the Master Chief and Cortana had been stranded aboard the UNSC frigate Forward Unto Dawn,
01:16lost and adrift in the remote darkness of uncharted space.
01:21In the years that passed after the war, humanity eagerly began the long process of rebuilding,
01:28leveraging aspects of reclaimed Forerunner technologies to advance faster and farther than before.
01:34Colonies were rebuilt, civilization was resurrected, hope was rekindled.
01:40With the Covenant Empire in disarray, the Elites, one of the founding members of the Alien Alliance,
01:47found themselves divided in the absence of clear direction or purpose.
01:54Some stood with leaders, like the Arbiter,
01:56who believed that peace and partnership with humanity was the only way to heal old wounds
02:02and return honor to his people.
02:05Others, however, seized the opportunity to remake the Covenant in their own image,
02:10hoping to revive the war machine and elevate their race as the rightful heirs to the Forerunner legacy.
02:17Five years later, in 2557,
02:20the remains of the Dawn drifted toward an unexplored Forerunner installation called Requiem.
02:26It was here that the Master Chief and Cortana found themselves on a massive artificial world
02:31filled with wonder and mystery,
02:34but also with sleeping secrets buried for a hundred millennia.
02:38After reuniting with the UNSC in its new and powerful warship, Infinity,
02:43the Master Chief and Cortana faced off against a powerful Forerunner commander called the Didact
02:49and the long-dormant remnants of his Promethean army,
02:52once more claiming victory against impossible odds.
02:56This time, however, the pairing would not escape unscathed
03:00as Cortana sacrificed herself to save the Chief.
03:06Following the Didact's defeat,
03:08the new generation of Spartan IV super soldiers aboard the Infinity
03:12continued the campaign on Requiem against a resurgent Covenant force
03:16operating under the leadership of an elite commander named Jule Mdama,
03:21who desperately attempted to wrest away control of the fast-awakening Forerunner legacy.
03:27Though the UNSC would eventually emerge victorious,
03:30Mdama escaped with one of the UNSC's most valuable assets in his possession,
03:36Dr. Catherine Halsey,
03:37the creator of the Spartan program
03:39and one of the most powerful minds in the galaxy.
03:43After his victory against the Didact,
03:46the Master Chief John-117
03:48was reunited with his fellow Spartans within Blue Team.
03:52The members of Blue Team,
03:53Frederick-104,
03:55Kelly-087,
03:56and Linda-058,
03:58had been John's teammates and closest companions since childhood
04:01when they were all conscripted at six years old into the Spartan II program by Dr. Halsey.
04:07Now together once more,
04:10Blue Team has been reassigned to some of the UNSC's highest priority missions.
04:15Also at the UNSC's disposal are talented and lethal squads
04:19comprised of top operatives from the newest generation of Spartan super soldiers.

04:27has been tasked with tracking down and retrieving Dr. Halsey from the Covenant's clutches.
