The Kung Fu Instructor / Jiào tóu (1979) — Shaw Brothers wuxia from Sun Chung (screenplay by Ni Kuang) . In the town of Ho Si, two feuding clans—the Meng and the Chow—have a century-old “no crossing” border that costs limbs to anyone who dares step over . Mong Fan (Ku Feng) wants to wipe out the Chows and tries to hire the best teacher in the land, Wong Yang (Ti Lung), to train his men . Wong refuses; Mong frames him for murder and Wong kills the challenger in self-defense, then flees to the Meng side and reluctantly agrees to teach their men so his name can be cleared . He meets Chao Cheh (Theresa Chu) and is impressed by Chow lad Chow Ping (Wong Yu), whom he secretly trains in Shaolin pole . After a bloody feud and a double-cross by Mong, Wong and Chow Ping fight their way back across the line to the Chows; Wong and the Chow clan rally to defeat the Mengs .
