Transcript
00:03We go live to Cuba with the arrival at this hour of the Nuestra America Convoy or America Convoy,
00:08the humanitarian initiative aimed at delivering essential supplies to Cuba,
00:12particularly during the economic and energy crisis the country is facing.
00:17The flotilla, organized by leftist groups and supporters,
00:20seek to transport food, medicine, and other basic supplies while challenging the U.S. blockade.
00:26It also aims to alleviate the shortage of food and medicine and highlight the challenges faced by the Cuban population.
00:35The Nuestra America Convoy is an international coalition of individuals and organizations
00:41dedicated to delivering critical humanitarian aid to the Cuban people.
00:46Cuba has been pushed to the point of imminent humanitarian collapse.
00:50The United Nations has warned our guiding principles remain unchanged,
00:54to be present, to support, to act based on cooperation, respect for international law, and the U.N. values.
01:02This is what the organization's most senior officials said in Cuba on February 5th,
01:08drawing on these principles.
01:09The Nuestra America Convoy aims to bring urgent relief to the Cuban people.
01:14Convoy that departed Thursday is transporting food, medicine, hygiene products, and solar panels
01:22collected by various civil society organizations to send them to Cuba,
01:28which is currently facing economic deterioration and ongoing blockade imposed by the United States
01:36during the loading process.
01:38The representatives of the flotilla sharply criticized U.S. foreign policy,
01:45citing the bombing of countries like Iran and Lebanon,
01:48the genocide in Palestine,
01:51and threats to nations such as Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia.
01:57The activists for their power emphasized the purely humanitarian nature of their actions.
02:04It also criticized the attitude of U.S. President Donald Trump,
02:09asserting that he is filled with his hatred, his violence, his bombs, and his weapons.
02:14In this context, during her daily press conference on Thursday morning,
02:19Mexican President Claudia Chainbaum defended her support for Cuba
02:24and emphasized Mexico's right to maintain commercial and humanitarian relations
02:30despite the U.S. oil and energy blockade against the Caribbean island.
02:37So the Nuestra America flotilla is selling into Havana Bay
02:43in a historic gesture that proves that Cuba today is not alone,
02:49that people continue to support Cuba across the world.
02:52So as the Trump administration ramps up its assault on the island
02:57and is campaigned to isolate its people,
03:00consequences of the U.S. siege are lethal for newborns and parents,
03:05for the elderly and the sick.
03:07Intense care units and emergency rooms are compromised,
03:11as are the production, delivery, and storage of medicine.
03:17The Nuestra America flotilla, or our America flotilla,
03:21was originally planned as a fleet of ships selling to Cuba with aid,
03:25but due to mass international participation,
03:28it expanded into the Nuestra America convoy,
03:31a multi-route operation by sea, air, and land.
03:35The convoy converged in Havana last March 21st, 2026,
03:42and aid has already started arriving with flights from Europe,
03:45with medical supplies,
03:46ships from places like Mexico carrying food, medicine, and solar panels.
03:50The total aid expected from this our America convoy
03:55is around more than 20 tons of supplies in total.
04:01The goal of this humanitarian flotilla
04:04is to relieve immediate suffering,
04:07pressure governments internationally,
04:10and symbolically break the isolation around Cuba
04:14imposed by the Donald Trump administration.
04:19So we continue to see life as the flotillas,
04:28as the vessel from the convoy
04:29that departed, as we were saying, since last Thursday,
04:33has entered the Bay of Havana.
04:34We're seeing images from within the Bay of Havana
04:37as it approaches the docks of the Havana Bay
04:40to proceed with the unloading.
04:42We're seeing all the activities,
04:44several activities from numerous countries around the world
04:46are currently on board that vessel
04:48that says, as we were saying, since Thursday,
04:52from Mexico.
04:54It was due to arrive on Sunday.
04:56It was due to arrive on Sunday.
04:58However, due to technical issues during the travel,
05:06it had to be postponed a little bit, the arrival.
05:09And we're seeing in this morning of Tuesday, March 24th,
05:14the vessel arriving with the activists
05:20and so much needed international aid,
05:23as we were saying, this has been as part of a show
05:26of demonstration proving that Cuba is not alone,
05:28that the world, the peoples of the world,
05:30stand with Cuba in its moment of need.
05:33Of these actions, not only this vessel
05:36that is arriving today,
05:37but all the flights with international activists
05:41that have been arriving over the past week
05:43at the International Jose Marti Airport,
05:45as we were saying, the convoy,
05:47what was to be first a small flotilla
05:50that will attempt to break the U.S. blockade against Cuba
05:54became an international coalition of solidarity aid
05:58for the Cuban people in its moment of dire need
06:01after the U.S. government under the administration
06:04of Donald Trump strengthened the blockade,
06:09especially the oil blockade,
06:12preventing any oil from entering the country
06:15and also punishing third countries
06:18that would send oil to the country
06:19by the threats of high tariffs
06:22and to designate them as an enemy, so to speak,
06:27with that imposition of high tariffs
06:30which would really much impact the economy
06:33of any nation that would be willing to send oil,
06:37to sell oil to Cuba.
06:39In this context, in the face of this,
06:41of course, this shortage of oil,
06:43as we have heard the president of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel,
06:46no oil shipment has entered the country
06:50since early December.
06:53Of course, that shortage of oil brings about
06:55a lot of impacts and hardships in the country
06:59through all infrastructure,
07:02through all different sectors.
07:03It affects not only the power generation,
07:07but also it affects transportation, food.
07:09Everything is based on oil in today's economy,
07:13and therefore it is a clear way to asphyxiate,
07:17a policy of asphyxiation of the country
07:21to try to bring down,
07:22to bring to their knees the Cuban people,
07:25but as Cuba has shown over and over again
07:28in the last, in the over six decades of U.S. blockade,
07:32is their will to resist,
07:33and also as the international community,
07:35the real international community has shown,
07:37is their willingness to stand by Cuba
07:40and to support Cuba,
07:41which is the images that we are seeing today
07:44is a clear example of that,
07:45that today Cuba is not alone.
07:48Today, as has always been,
07:49Cuba has friends in the world
07:51that are willing to act
07:53to provide the so much needed help and support.
07:56So we are seeing the arrival of this vessel,
07:59as we were saying of this,
08:00our American, Nuestra America Flotilla,
08:02arrived in Havana.
08:03It's already very close near the docks
08:06of the Havana Bay
08:08to proceed with the unloading
08:10of the most important needed humanitarian aid
08:13that this vessel is bringing,
08:15the vessel that sets sail,
08:16as we were saying,
08:17since Thursday,
08:17and it's all part of the great convoy,
08:21the great our American convoy
08:22that is about solidarity aid,
08:26the willing,
08:27the humanitarian,
08:28as well,
08:29of the people of the world
08:30to provide help
08:31to a people,
08:33to the Cuban people,
08:34in their time of need.
08:35The convoy,
08:36as we were saying,
08:38participants of the convoy
08:40have been arriving
08:40by air, land, and sea
08:42since last week.
08:44We saw the first planes arrive
08:46with humanitarian aid
08:47on Tuesday last week,
08:48and over the days
08:50and over the weekend,
08:52more and more people
08:53have gathered here in Havana
08:55bringing this so much needed
08:57humanitarian aid,
08:59and also the importance
09:01of what it represents,
09:03what it represents
09:04the willing to go
09:05against the U.S. blockade,
09:07to go against the U.S. imperialist policies,
09:10and to break through
09:11and continue providing help
09:13and showing what humanity,
09:15what humanity can achieve,
09:17standing together
09:18and moving as a unison,
09:20as a block
09:21to help the peoples of the world
09:24to continue to provide solidarity.
09:26Actions like this,
09:27we have also seen them
09:28with different crises
09:30that are taking place
09:31in the world.
09:32We have seen important movements
09:34of solidarity movements
09:35and taking actions
09:37to bring desperate,
09:39needed help
09:40and supplies
09:41to other areas of the world,
09:42and in this case today,
09:43we are seeing the arrival
09:44of this flotilla
09:46in Havana
09:47to provide
09:49all the different things
09:51that are in shortage
09:52due to the U.S. blockade.
09:54We are talking about food,
09:55medicine,
09:56hygiene products,
09:58solar panels,
09:58which we have seen
09:59a drive coming from
10:01the Cuban government
10:02to very quickly
10:04try to transform
10:06the energy matrix
10:07of the country
10:08to turn them
10:09into a renewable source
10:10energy matrix,
10:12especially solar
10:13with wind and water,
10:15to be able to be
10:17independent and sovereign
10:18so that the policies,
10:19the coercive policies
10:21coming from the U.S.
10:22does not have
10:23a greater impact
10:25on the Cuban energy
10:28infrastructure
10:28and the Cuban
10:31infrastructures in general.
10:32We have seen,
10:33as we were saying,
10:34they are delivering
10:34as part of this
10:35human terrain
10:36that this vessel
10:37is bringing,
10:37they are delivering
10:38as well as solar panels.
10:39We have seen
10:39lots of solar panels
10:41farms being installed
10:44across the country,
10:46and as the president
10:47of Cuba has reported
10:48in his last press briefing,
10:51he reported
10:51the advancements
10:52of the solar panel system
10:55that due to the strength
10:57of the crisis
10:58of the U.S.
10:59blockade imposed
11:00on the country
11:01and the energy
11:02by clade especially,
11:04the results are not
11:05yet visible,
11:06but he said
11:07that if the solar panels,
11:09this strategy of investment
11:10to transform
11:12the energy matrix
11:13into a renewable source
11:13did not exist,
11:15the impacts
11:16would have been
11:16much, much worse.
11:18So we continue
11:19to see these activists,
11:22international activists
11:22from different parts
11:23of the world,
11:24they are arriving
11:25in the vessel
11:25which I believe
11:26has already dug
11:27in the port of Havana
11:28within Havana Bay,
11:30the capital of Cuba.
11:31We are seeing them
11:32carrying the Cuban flag,
11:34the Palestinian flag,
11:35as we recall,
11:36the struggles
11:36of the people,
11:37the struggle
11:38of the Palestinian people
11:39is always
11:39in the minds
11:42of every international
11:43activist across the world
11:44to denounce
11:45the criminal genocide
11:46that the Palestinian people
11:47are suffering
11:48in the eyes
11:49of the so-called
11:50international community,
11:51and while international
11:52so-called international
11:53governments
11:54that say to be
11:55the vanguardist
11:56of humanitarian law
11:58are actually allowing
12:00for that genocide
12:00to take place
12:01in Palestine,
12:02they are also allowing
12:03for these criminal actions
12:06against Cuba
12:07to take place
12:08as well
12:09with this energy blockade
12:10as they have,
12:11as that so-called
12:13international community
12:14have stood
12:15utterly by
12:16in the face
12:17of the U.S.
12:18aggressive policies
12:20against Cuba,
12:21against Iran
12:23right now.
12:26Yet the people,
12:27the peoples of the world,
12:28the people
12:29also from the U.S.,
12:30as we have seen
12:31in the polls,
12:32people in the U.S.
12:35also condemn
12:36these coercive,
12:38aggressive policies
12:39of the U.S. government,
12:40of the Trump administration
12:41against the Cuban people,
12:44against the Caribbean island.
12:46So any moment now,
12:47the vessel
12:48should be completely tucked
12:49to proceed
12:50with the unloading
12:52of the,
12:54of this important
12:56humanitarian aid.
12:56As we were saying,
12:57the convoy
12:57as a whole
12:59is bringing
13:00about 20 tons
13:01of humanitarian aid.
13:02And what makes it
13:03even more important
13:05is that all
13:06this humanitarian aid
13:07has been collected
13:08by social movements
13:10and international organizations
13:12in different countries.
13:14There has been
13:15an action,
13:17a strategy,
13:18an action
13:19of the people,
13:20of the organized people
13:21of the world
13:21to come
13:22and provide
13:23the much-needed
13:24help,
13:25aid
13:26that the Cuban people
13:27right now need
13:27in the face
13:28of the strengthening
13:30of the U.S. blockade
13:31and energy,
13:32and the energy blockade
13:33that is currently
13:34being implemented
13:35by the Trump administration
13:36against the Caribbean island.
13:38We are seeing
13:39the vessel
13:40being in the final stages
13:42of the docking process.
13:43We are seeing
13:44that it's being
13:46tied to the dock
13:47as the final process
13:49is about to be completed.
13:51We can see
13:52that the activists
13:53are still
13:54on the roof
13:54of the vessel,
13:57but they are starting
13:58to move,
13:58getting ready
13:59to onboard
14:03and complete
14:04the journey,
14:05officially complete
14:06the journey
14:08to Cuba
14:09when they touch
14:10Cuban soil,
14:12when they onboard
14:14from the vessel
14:15and walk
14:16on Cuban soil.
14:20So these actions,
14:21the convoy in general,
14:22not only the vessel
14:23that we're witnessing today,
14:24but the convoy in general
14:25that has been,
14:26as we were saying,
14:26has been arriving
14:27by sea, air,
14:29and land
14:30since last week,
14:32has important implications.
14:34Our American convoy
14:36reflects a deepening
14:39and deepening
14:40global south solidity
14:41in response
14:43to the unilateral
14:44progressive measures.
14:47In our region,
14:49specifically,
14:49in the Latin American
14:50and the Caribbean,
14:52it reinforces
14:53the lack of principles
14:54of non-interference
14:55and regional self-determination,
14:59countering the attempts
15:00to isolate progressive
15:03government,
15:03especially coming
15:04from the U.S. government
15:05and its lackeys
15:06in the region.
15:08Globally,
15:09the mission,
15:11taking into a perspective
15:13outside of our region,
15:17in the world,
15:19the mission challenges
15:20the normalization
15:21of the implementation
15:22of the use
15:23of economic blockades
15:25as foreign policy tools,
15:27as we have seen them
15:27being used
15:28by the U.S. over and over
15:31and also by its allies
15:33as well,
15:34following the mandates
15:35of the U.S.
15:36to pressure
15:36the countries,
15:38the governments
15:38that do not go against their,
15:40that do not follow their line,
15:42that go against
15:43their interests,
15:44that the governments,
15:46that the countries
15:46that wish to be sovereign,
15:48that wish to follow
15:49their own path
15:50of development,
15:51which,
15:52as we know,
15:53the hegemonic empires
15:55cannot allow this
15:56to thrive
15:56because they lose
15:57their power
15:59in the international arena
16:00and this is a way
16:02to challenge
16:02that normalization
16:04of the use
16:04of economic blockades
16:06as a tool
16:07to pressure
16:09all these foreign nations
16:11that work for the people
16:14that work
16:14to create
16:15their own path
16:16of development.
16:18It also
16:19challenges
16:20the normalization highlights.
16:22It also highlights
16:23the impact
16:24that this kind
16:25of policy
16:26of blockade
16:26has on the people,
16:27the impact it has
16:29on the humanitarian costs
16:30and questions,
16:31their legality,
16:32as well,
16:33under international law.
16:35It amplifies calls
16:37in forums
16:38like the UN General Assembly
16:39where every year,
16:41every single year,
16:43the General Assembly
16:44votes
16:45in its vast majority
16:49against the U.S.
16:51blockade
16:51as they call
16:53for the respect
16:54of sovereignty,
16:56of the sovereignty
16:57of nation.
16:58They call
16:59for the respect
16:59of the self-determination
17:00of the peoples
17:01of the world.
17:03As we were saying,
17:05this country
17:05that is converging
17:06in Havana
17:07strengthens the networks
17:09among progressive movements,
17:11trade unions
17:12and civil society
17:14potentially influencing
17:15future coordinated actions
17:17on issues like
17:19death relief,
17:21climate justice
17:21and anti-imperialist resistance.
17:25It also,
17:26for the Cuban people,
17:27for Cuba
17:28as a nation,
17:29impulsors resilience
17:30and morale
17:31amid the ongoing crisis.
17:34It is a clear message
17:36of the Brotherhood
17:37and continued commitment
17:39to continue to support,
17:43to stand by the Cuban people
17:45and to stand by
17:46the Cuban revolution
17:48in a way.
17:49So,
17:50we are seeing
17:50the boat is fully
17:51is fully docked
17:54in the port of Havana.
17:58This is the
17:58is docking
18:00in what is called
18:01in Havana
18:02the cruise terminals,
18:03a place where
18:03cruise ships
18:04before the Trump administration
18:05would arrive
18:07in the city
18:08and this is the area
18:08where they would dock.
18:10We must recall
18:11previous to the Trump administration,
18:13cruise ships were
18:14during the Obama times,
18:15cruise ships were allowed
18:16to enter
18:18the ports of Havana
18:19but after the first term
18:21of the Trump,
18:23of President Donald Trump,
18:24he removed
18:26all these permissions
18:27and forbade
18:29cruise ships
18:30in a way
18:30for arriving
18:31as we know
18:32the implementation
18:32of the Helms-Burton's law
18:34within the blockade.
18:36Within the blockade
18:37do not allow ships
18:38to dock
18:39in Cuban ports
18:41and any ship
18:42that docks
18:43in a Cuban port
18:44cannot dock
18:44in a U.S. port
18:45for six months.
18:47That's why
18:48cruise ships
18:49are no longer
18:50entering Havana.
18:51This is the area
18:52that is known
18:53as we're saying
18:54in the capital
18:55of the country
18:56as the cruise terminal.
18:58So we are seeing
18:59now the activists
19:02onboarding the vessel
19:03as they are standing
19:05on Cuba's salt
19:06now being received,
19:07being welcomed
19:07by Cuban authorities
19:09that have gathered here
19:10to welcome
19:11these activists,
19:13these brave men
19:14and women
19:14that have raised the seat
19:16to challenge
19:17the U.S. blockade
19:18and break through
19:19that U.S. blockade
19:20to bring to the Cuban people,
19:22to the island,
19:23the most important,
19:25most important needed
19:27humanitarian aid.
19:28We're going to see
19:29if we get a clear image
19:31of the authorities
19:33present here
19:34to welcome
19:35these activists
19:36that are part
19:37of the Our America
19:38and Nuestra America
19:38convoy.
19:39As we were saying,
19:40the flotilla
19:40that just arrived today
19:42was due to arrive
19:44on Sunday
19:44but due to technical issues
19:45it was delayed
19:47on transit
19:48and it has arrived
19:50now
19:50these early hours
19:52of Tuesday,
19:54March 24th.
19:55We continue to see
19:57the different activists
19:58arrive and greet
19:59the people
20:00that are present
20:01there to welcome them.
20:04As we were saying,
20:04the convoy in general
20:05is expected
20:06to bring over 20 tons
20:08of humanitarian aid
20:10to the Cuban people
20:12comprising of food,
20:14medicine,
20:15hygiene products,
20:15solar panels,
20:16different important
20:18necessary basic stuff
20:20necessary
20:21for that are right now
20:24in shortage in Cuba
20:25due to the strengthening
20:28of the U.S. blockade
20:30and the energy blockade
20:32which has impacted
20:33very seriously
20:34all aspects of life
20:37on the Caribbean island
20:39and of course
20:40the most important aspect
20:42is the energy metrics
20:46which is what is most seen.
20:47The energy metrics
20:48we saw in the past week
20:50that this connection
20:51twice
20:52of the national power grid
20:54that was quickly restored
20:55for the efforts
20:56of the workers
20:57of the electric union
20:59of Cuba.
21:01So as we continue
21:02to see the images
21:04of the activists
21:05and different members
21:06that are passengers
21:09part of this important
21:13international solidity action
21:14that arrived in Cuba
21:16with much needed humanitarian aid
21:19we are seeing them
21:20gathered at the dock
21:22as we were saying
21:22being welcomed
21:23by the authorities
21:24that are currently here
21:25as they continue
21:27to exchange
21:29on the importance
21:31of this travel
21:31and the arrival
21:32and what it represents
21:34for the Cuban people
21:37what it represents
21:38for the morale
21:41of a people
21:42that continues
21:42to resist
21:43to race
21:44in the face
21:45of the brocade
21:47of the first major military power
21:51the empire
21:52of the United States
21:53of America
21:54as it continues
21:55with this aggressive policy
21:56against the Korean nation
21:58a policy that has been heightened
21:59in this past couple of months
22:01together with the
22:03as we have seen
22:04the U.S. government
22:05also increase
22:08its aggression
22:09against the world
22:11in general
22:12and we have seen
22:13the impact
22:13that its war
22:14against Iran
22:15is currently having
22:16on the world
22:17on the fuel prices
22:18on the oil prices
22:19in the world
22:22so let's see
22:25if we can have
22:27a better image
22:29of what is happening
22:30maybe there will be
22:33some statements given
22:34we're going to stay
22:35tuned to this
22:36to follow up
22:37every single detail
22:38that is taking place
22:40right now
22:41at the cruise terminal
22:42in Havana Bay
22:44in the port of Hamana
22:45one of the iconic buildings
22:47that can be found
22:48in the old part
22:50of Havana
22:51in the old square
22:52more specifically
22:53in the San Francis
22:54of Assisi square
22:55the second
22:56the second
22:57oldest square
22:58of the city
22:59if anyone has
23:01ever traveled
23:01to that area
23:03can remember
23:04that is
23:05the huge building
23:06that is right
23:07on Port Avenue
23:16so this is the news
23:17that is taking place
23:18right now
23:19in these early hours
23:20of Tuesday
23:21March 24th
23:22the flotilla
23:23the Our America
23:25Nuestra America
23:26flotilla
23:26that is part
23:27of what became
23:28the international coalition
23:30the Nuestra America
23:31Our America
23:31convoy
23:32has arrived in Cuba
23:34the activists
23:35have already
23:36on board
23:37they were greeted
23:38by the authorities
23:40the Cuban authorities
23:41are present here
23:41at the port
23:42to welcome them
23:43they bring very important
23:45humanitarian aid
23:46desperately needed
23:47in Cuba
23:48in the face
23:49of the aggressive
23:50US blockade
23:51the strengthening
23:52of the US blockade
23:53and the imposition
23:54of the energy blockade
23:55blocking all
23:57oil imports
23:59to Cuba
23:59blocking all
24:00as we have said
24:01for the past
24:03three months
24:05three and a half
24:06four months
24:07no oil shipment
24:08has been able
24:08to arrive in Cuba
24:09due to this
24:10US blockade
24:11and also not only
24:13that blockade
24:13but also the threat
24:15to third countries
24:16to not send oil
24:18to Cuba
24:18or they would face
24:19consequences
24:20coming from the US
24:21Treasury
24:21with the imposition
24:22of very high tariff
24:24which would
24:24very negatively
24:25impact
24:26the economy
24:27of these nations
24:28in this context
24:29we have seen
24:30strong support
24:30coming from
24:31different nations
24:32of the world
24:33coming from
24:34different governments
24:35express their
24:36solidarity
24:36and their support
24:39for the Cuban government
24:40and people
24:42we have seen
24:43strong support
24:44coming from Russia
24:45and from China
24:46but very strongly
24:47very specifically
24:48we have seen
24:48the support
24:49coming from Mexico
24:50Mexico has always
24:51been a country
24:53that has stood
24:53historically
24:54by the side
24:55of Cuba
24:56and we see
24:56this vessel
24:58that set sail
24:59from Mexico
25:00to bring important
25:01aid to Cuba
25:02and name
25:03Grandma 2
25:04in reference
25:05of course
25:05Grandma 2.0
25:07in reference
25:07of course
25:08to that first vessel
25:09that brought
25:10the revolutionary fathers
25:12with Fidel, Raul,
25:15Camilo, Che
25:15everyone
25:16that was the grandma
25:18the first grandma
25:18now we have to make
25:19difference between
25:20Grandma 1
25:20and Grandma 2
25:21the first grandma
25:22that traveled
25:23from Mexico
25:25as well
25:26as we recall
25:27in the history
25:29what is in the
25:30in the annals
25:31of history
25:31it was in Mexico
25:33where
25:35the Cuban revolution
25:36in a way
25:37was able to
25:39restart
25:41that's where
25:42Fidel met Che
25:43that's where
25:43they were able
25:44to reorganize
25:45and travel back
25:46to Cuba
25:47on the first
25:48grandma
25:49act
25:49the grandma 1.0
25:51we would refer
25:51to it now
25:52to renew
25:54the struggle
25:56against the
25:57Batista dictatorship
25:57in Cuba
25:58that which
25:59that struggle
25:59which later
26:00led to the
26:01triumph of revolution
26:02in January 1st
26:041959
26:05so this
26:07there's always been
26:07a very long
26:09history
26:10of brotherhood
26:11of friendship
26:12that has existed
26:13between
26:14between the Cuban
26:15and Mexican people
26:16and we have seen
26:17that brotherhood
26:18and friendship
26:19and solidarity
26:20and cooperation
26:22very much
26:23alive today
26:24with not only
26:26the people
26:27of Mexico
26:27that gathered
26:28tons of humanitarian aid
26:30to send to Cuba
26:30but also
26:31with the government
26:32of President
26:34Cláudia Sheinbaum
26:34who has also
26:35very strongly
26:36expressed
26:37her support
26:39for the Cuban people
26:41for the right
26:43to self-determination
26:44of the Cuban people
27:00so just to sum up
27:01we continue to see
27:03as they are
27:05unloading the goods
27:06that were brought
27:07on the vessel
27:07we're seeing right now
27:09as they continue
27:10to unload
27:12the goods
27:12that were brought
27:13from the vessel
27:14we're seeing the people
27:15in the background
27:17bringing
27:19everything
27:19that they brought
27:20on the vessel
27:20out to the
27:22to the docks
27:24this is the news
27:26this is the news
27:29the vessel
27:30arrived
27:31successfully
27:32at the dock
27:33it was successfully
27:33docked
27:34with no instance
27:35as was to be expected
27:37the Cuban authorities
27:39were present here
27:40and
27:42and received them
27:44and we are seeing
27:45everyone
27:45we're seeing now
27:46the workers
27:47and the people
27:48there gathered
27:49unloading the
27:50unloading the vessels
27:51so this is what
27:53just happened
27:54in the early hours
27:56of this March 24th
27:57the people
27:58have
27:59in the vessel
28:00our convoy vessel
28:02arrived
28:02bringing important
28:04humanitarian aid
28:05over 20 tons
28:06of in total
28:07is expected
28:08to be
28:09the load
28:11not in this vessel
28:12but in the convoy
28:13as a whole
28:14the Nuestro American
28:15convoy
28:15we must recall
28:16that this
28:17flotilla
28:17this
28:19our American
28:20flotilla
28:21was
28:22let's say
28:23the precursor
28:24this was
28:24what kickstarted
28:25the whole
28:26international
28:27coalition alliance
28:28in a way
28:29we can call it
28:29when this was
28:31announced
28:31back in February
28:32that a flotilla
28:34would be made
28:34to bring
28:35important
28:36humanitarian aid
28:37to Cuba
28:37it later
28:38became
28:39it grew
28:39like a snowball
28:40and became
28:41an important
28:42coalition
28:43across the
28:44across the world
28:45from different
28:45parts of the world
28:46people joined
28:47and that's why
28:48it transformed
28:49from our
28:49our American
28:50flotilla
28:51to our
28:51America
28:52convoy
28:52and we saw
28:53people from
28:54different countries
28:55in Europe
28:56from Asia
28:57from our regions
28:58as well
28:58to travel
28:59not only by sea
29:00but by air
29:01as well
29:02bringing
29:02humanitarian aid
29:04bringing what
29:05they could get
29:06because
29:06we must recall
29:08that it's not
29:09so much
29:10government led
29:10actions
29:11but it's led
29:12directly by the people
29:13for the people
29:14with the people
29:15receive the people
29:16with these
29:16mass organizations
29:18of solidity
29:19recollection
29:21in different parts
29:23of the world
29:24to be able
29:25to bring
29:25to gather
29:28the resources
29:28and the humanitarian
29:29aid
29:30to bring
29:32all that help
29:33to deliver it
29:36to the Cuban people
29:37and that's what
29:37has happened
29:38today
29:39the arrival
29:40the convoy
29:42already converged
29:43on Saturday
29:43March 21st
29:44we saw this
29:44great event
29:46cultural event
29:47symbolic event
29:49that was held
29:50in the MalecĂłn
29:51in front of the
29:52U.S. embassy
29:52denouncing
29:53the U.S.
29:55blockade
29:55the U.S.
29:57genocide of foreign
29:57policies
29:58against not only Cuba
30:00but against the world
30:01in general
30:01following its actions
30:03against Iran
30:03and allowing
30:05its complicity
30:06in the genocide
30:07that the Israeli
30:08regime
30:09is carrying out
30:10against the
30:11Palestinian people
30:12in Gaza
30:12and the occupied
30:13territories as a whole
30:15both in the Gaza Strip
30:16and in the West Bank
30:18and we are going to be
30:21waiting to see
30:22if there have some
30:22statements coming
30:23from the participants
30:24of this flotilla
30:25that has just arrived
30:27with important
30:27humanitarian aid
30:28but the news
30:29is that
30:29the flotilla
30:30has arrived
30:30our convoy
30:31of America
30:32is as a whole
30:34the only part
30:35that was missing
30:36was this flotilla
30:37that was due
30:38to arrive
30:38on Sunday
30:39but due to technical
30:40issues
30:41had to be delayed
30:42and just arrived
30:44here on Tuesday
30:44so we can say
30:45our convoy
30:46our American convoy
30:48has been successful
30:49they have successfully
30:50traveled
30:51arrived to Cuba
30:52by air
30:53land and sea
30:54as they promised
30:54they would do
30:55to bring important
30:57humanitarian aid
30:57comprising
30:58medicine
30:58food
30:59hygiene products
31:01solar panels
31:02or everything
31:03that they could
31:03gather
31:04to provide
31:06help
31:07to send
31:08clear measures
31:09to the world
31:09that Cuba
31:10does not stand
31:11alone
31:11that Cuba
31:12has friends
31:13that Cuba
31:13will always count
31:14with the support
31:15of the peoples
31:16of the world
31:17in every part
31:18in every continent
