00:09In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Ministry of Health reported nearly 2,500 confirmed Ebola cases, including 999
00:17deaths as of Monday,
00:19while Uganda has also recorded 20 confirmed cases with two fatalities reported.
00:23The outbreak caused by the Bundibugi virus was declared on May 15 in Ituri province, in eastern Congo.
00:30Since then, it has spread to several other provinces, including North Kibu, South Kibu, Hotel and Teshobo.
00:37Health authorities continue monitoring the situation as efforts remain focused on responding to the outbreak and limiting further transmission.
