00:23An RTS-style game, you start out either a military society, an economic society, or a religious society.
00:32Vehicles are now your units.
00:34For each style of society, you get specific units.
00:38Each one works a little bit differently, so economic units could set up trade routes with other cities,
00:45whereas military units could blow them up.
00:49So you're trying to build up your city, build up your vehicles, and you're trying to basically take over the
00:56world.
00:57And other tribes are now kind of forming around you, and these are your competitors.
01:03One of the big features of Civ is that there's a fairly deep diplomacy model.
01:09And this is a model where it keeps track of your actions over the course of the game with each
01:13of the other countries,
01:14so they'll remember what you've done, whether you've fought with them or you've attacked them.
01:18That plays very much into whether they help you later in the game themselves or fight against you.
01:25My favorite part is playing with the cities and the citizens inside the cities.
01:29I really enjoy sending my vehicles over and maybe attacking their cities,
01:37watching their reactions, how they react to my attacks.
01:42My favorite portion of Civ is probably using the super weapons,
01:48because it lets you be very creative about how you want to win the game.
01:52Those abilities are kind of cool to use at various points.
01:58You can actually win a game with another Civ.
02:01If you fight through the game with them at your side, you're always fighting their enemies, for example.
02:07By the time the two of you have conquered most of the planet, they'll be willing to join with you.
02:12Together you'll go to the next stage.
02:26I'm going to go to the next stage.
02:28I'm going to go to the next stage.
02:29I'm going to go to the next stage.
