00:20At this time of year, we'll get around about 7,000 to 8,000 seals and around 4,000 pubs.
00:33We're here with the Eastern Atlantic grey seals and these are one of the rarest seals that there are.
00:47Britain has 40% of the world's population.
00:59At this time of year, it's really important that seals are not disturbed because mothers can abandon their pups.
01:06If a seal pup is separated from its mum within that first three weeks, that pup will definitely die.
01:19We've got wardens out today and they'll be educating the public.
01:24They will be keeping people away from the beach so the pups are not disturbed.
01:29We'll be out on plenty of seal rescues where pups have been washed away from the colony.
01:36We're warden around an eight-mile area of seal colony. That's huge.
01:47With our work with the seals, we see some absolutely harrowing things.
01:56Flying rings are a major concern because they pop their heads through there and they can't get these rings off.
02:04So as they grow older, the ring starts to dig in and dig in until it actually dies through that
02:12entanglement.
02:14Another problem with entanglement is bags for life.
02:17We always have a seal get stuck in a bag for life.
02:25I think our work is really more important than ever.
02:29Every seal that we rescue is really important.
02:33If you're going to visit this area, please keep your distance.
02:38The seal's not here for you to come and take a selfie.
02:41Please don't ring your flying rings and just please keep your dogs on the lead.
02:48What are the projections?
02:48The Long-Face is a great annual report.
02:49All right!
02:49See you soon!
