00:00Have you played Dune Awakening recently?
00:02I'm guessing maybe not, considering its play account has dropped, and the game is sitting
00:07at a mixed rating on Steam.
00:09So you may be out of the loop on what has happened to melee combat in Dune Awakening.
00:13Well, let me tell you, it's fallen off a bit, for lack of better words.
00:18It all began when Funcom attempted to address an issue with melee that saw Crippling Strike
00:23and Suspenser Blast a little overpowered.
00:26The devs did so via nerfs, and they were not loved by everyone.
00:30One player in particular has been documenting the journey of Dune's broken melee, and flagging
00:36just why the nerfs resulted in a form of close range fighting he and many others deemed useless.
00:42Known online as Spicerub, he has made a video addressed to the Dune Awakening devs on how
00:48to fix melee.
00:49He suggests the devs remove the function of stacking stamina debuffs and remove the ability
00:54for Suspenser Blast and Crippling to stack.
00:57The third chapter of Dune Awakening is underway as well, so here's hoping things only improve.
