00:00One of the stories that I really love is your history with Lenny Kravitz, because my first
00:05introduction to you, Gina, as a kid, as a nine-year-old, was the Again music video.
00:09I loved it.
00:10I was like, who is this?
00:11She's so cool.
00:12Her outfits are so...
00:13I just felt like you were the coolest girl in the world in that music video.
00:15I love that song.
00:16I love that music video.
00:17And just knowing kind of the lore and history behind it and the relationship that you guys
00:20had way back in the day before you even starred in the music video.
00:24It's so sweet.
00:24I also didn't know he went by Blue Romeo back in the day.
00:27Romeo Blue.
00:28Romeo Blue.
00:28That was his name in high school.
00:29I didn't know he was, and I was new to the school, because I was coming from the Valley
00:34and going to Beverly High.
00:36I'm like, oh my God, this is going to be a bunch of snobby people.
00:39But I get to be at the cafeteria, and I'm like, ooh, chocolate donuts.
00:43That's amazing.
00:44I'm like, ooh, look at this pizza.
00:45It was really good food.
00:46So I'm like, okay, this so far is so good.
00:48One day in the cafeteria, there was this skinny guy, cute, but very skinny, playing his guitar
00:55in the corner.
00:56And I remember thinking, he's really good.
00:59And obviously, he was super cute.
01:01And we became friends.
01:03And he went by the name of Romeo Blue was his stage name then.
01:06Obsessed.
01:07It was my second music video I did with him.
01:09Wait, which other one were you in?
01:10The other one wasn't really shown, because it was too naughty or too risqué at the time,
01:18which is so funny.
01:19I know, because now, what is it now?
01:20Anything goes now.
01:21It was that song, Blues for Sister Someone.
01:23Oh, okay.
01:24But it was about a prostitute who lived in a bathroom stall, a junkie.
01:29And it was pretty visceral, and it's pretty out there, but they wouldn't show it on MTV at the time.
01:34Oh my God.
01:35Because it was too much.
01:36Wow, that's kind of like a badge of honor.
01:38Too risqué for MTV at the time?
01:40And then when...
01:42Again?
01:42Again.
01:43Yeah.
01:44I just remember Lenny calling me a few days before, and he was just like, where are you?
01:48We were on different coasts.
01:49He's like, I need you to come here.
01:50And I was maybe coming anyway to go to a wedding that I was not excited about going to,
01:56because my ex-boyfriend was going to be there with a date.
01:59And I thought, how do I navigate this?
02:02You know, it was too...
02:03And I said, well...
02:04He said, you need to come out here and just do this video.
02:08I'm like, when are you doing it?
02:09And it was the same weekend.
02:11And I said, well, okay.
02:14I'll do it if you come and you're my date at this wedding because I need support.
02:21And he's like, baby, I'm there.
02:23Now that's a mic drop to your ex.
02:25Wow.
02:26I was going to ask for your advice for anybody listening who's going to go to a wedding with
02:29an ex, but I don't know if only you can call Lenny Kravitz for that.
