00:03A week of alleged torture, a desperate video message and a government officer who didn't live to tell his story.
00:10Gagandeep Singh Rindhava, a senior government officer, allegedly faced days of threats, coercion and harassment before he was pushed to
00:18take his own life.
00:27His daughter is now speaking out.
00:30What is the government?
00:31A young man is now, and when did he arrest me?
00:35I'm not sure what the two constitutions are in our country.
00:40On March 19, 2025, Rindhava, who was serving as a district manager with the Punjab Warehousing Corporation, died by suicide.
00:48Before his death, he recorded a video in which he blamed Punjab Minister Laljeet Singh Bullar for his death.
00:54According to the FIR filed by his wife, Rindhava was under continuous pressure to manipulate a warehouse tender in favor
01:00of the minister's father.
01:02When he refused to comply, the pressure allegedly escalated into threats and intimidation.
01:07The family claims he was humiliated, assaulted and even held at gunpoint and forced to confess to taking a bribe
01:14of Rs. 10 lakh to award the tender to another party.
01:17Rindhava had reportedly written multiple letters to senior authorities warning them about threats to his life.
01:23However, no action was taken and his pleas allegedly went unheard.
01:37Following the controversy, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Man ordered an impartial probe into the matter.
01:43Minister Laljeet Singh Bullar has since resigned from the cabinet, stating that the allegations against him are baseless and that
01:50he wants a fair investigation.
01:51An FIR has been registered against Bullar, his father and his aide under charges including abetment of suicide and criminal
01:58intimidation.
01:59Moreover, opposition parties have slammed Punjab's armed Atmi Party government, accusing it of creating a reckless law and order situation
02:07where even government officers are no longer safe.
