00:00While there are growing political calls to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, including talks of naval escorts for all tankers,
00:08industry leaders are signaling that may not be enough.
00:14So it's important to understand what really is being said about the reopening of the Strait.
00:21There is a lot of headline about Western politicians demanding the reopening of the Strait and also saying that at
00:30some point there might be some convoys or escorts provided to tankers, etc.
00:35Now, if we disregard all this noise about convoys and just listen precisely for what the industry is saying, like
00:42the head of Qatar Energy, who we spoke to, the industry is being very, very clear about what they want.
00:52They want an acceptable deal, a deal, some sort of a peace deal, which will be acceptable to Iran, because
00:59a lot of the industry guys are saying, I'm not sending my ships, even if they are protected by convoys.
01:05I'm not sending them back to the Strait of Hormuz.
01:08I want some sort of settlement between U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran on the other side.
01:13Otherwise, I'm not taking the risk.
