00:14This is Adam Volker at Moonbot Studios
00:16and he was lead creative on Digg's Nightcrawler
00:19and he did all big, just told everybody what to do.
00:24This is William Joyce, Academy Award winning founder of Moonbot Studios
00:27and he was the guy with the torch in the woods who helped guide me through Digg's Nightcrawler.
00:32Moonbot Studios is really about trying to do things that we've never done before
00:36and even if we're totally unqualified, in fact, the less qualified we are,
00:41the more excited we are to take on something.
00:44What's exciting about Wonderbook is you open it up, you look at the screen
00:48and there's a world that's not there.
00:51Sounds wonderful.
00:52And it's amazing.
00:53You're turning pages to advance the story.
00:56I feel like as a metaphor for a mechanic in a game, that is awesome.
01:00The story advances when you turn the page.
01:03Whether it's through a book or through a film or through a game or through a Wonderbook game,
01:08we want to tell a good story.
01:10We want the player, the viewer, the audience to come along with us through a narrative.
01:14The first thing that happened was Sony came to us with the Wonderbook
01:17and we wanted to tell a detective story.
01:19And who better to be a detective in a book but a bookworm?
01:23Humphrey Bogart as a bookworm.
01:25He's the star of the show.
01:26Star of the show.
01:28You're a bookworm and you're a detective and you're going to solve book story crimes.
01:33What would be the least likely group of people that would be film noir?
01:38Yes.
01:39Mother goose.
01:40How do we put them in there, yeah.
01:42Humpty Dumpty.
01:43Mother goose.
01:44Little poop heap.
01:45They have gats and guns and femme fatales and they talk, you know, out of the sight of their mouths.
01:50Police!
01:51We're looking for night crawlers.
01:53That seemed fun.
01:55The contrast was really cool.
01:56The contrast was really cool.
