00:00:55In a million seasons I've been on this show, that's the best battle round I've ever heard.

00:00:59These are some really tough decisions. Some of my toughest decisions, actually.

00:01:02Who is the winner of this battle?

00:01:05And don't forget about the triple turn winner.

00:01:08I'm Drewski, and for the battles, I'm joined by NBA Hall of Famer Reggie Miller.

00:01:14But what are you doing with your voice?

00:01:16Uh, you know, that's the thing. I always wanted to be a sports broadcaster, so I'm pulling out my analyst

00:01:26All season long, the coaches were there to fight and to win the most three-chair turns.

00:01:30Kelly beat out the guys and becoming the first ever triple turn champion.

00:01:33She now gets the super steal. You love a good steal, don't you, Reggie?

00:01:37And there's nothing better, and this super steal means that Kelly can steal an artist from another coach.

00:01:43What do you mean?

00:01:43The brand new super steal!

00:01:46Or save someone from her own team. If I were the other coaches, I'd be scared of Kelly.

00:01:51I'm not a coach, and I'm scared of Kelly.

00:01:54All right, buckle up, because the battle rounds are going to be insane.

00:02:02It's a hard thing to do in general, because you have to find common ground.

00:02:50I am not surprised that Kelly paired us together.

00:02:53We're Kelly's two youngest artists on our team.

00:03:01We were kind of scared.

00:03:02We were like, oh, focus.

00:03:03We were freaking out a little bit.

00:03:05But we got a little arrangement going.

00:03:07And then together, can you focus on me?

00:03:11Being able to be in battles this season is so amazing.

00:03:15And knowing that last season, I didn't get a chair turn.

00:03:17Hopefully, come back again, try it again, maybe with a different type of song.

00:03:24When I opened my eyes and saw Kelly and Adam, I started crying.

00:03:27I was just really, really proud of myself.

00:03:29I've lived in Missouri my entire life.

00:03:31Same house, same city, same neighborhood.

00:03:33I was just a regular sophomore in high school with just a really big passion for music.

00:03:39It felt like it was my destiny to get a chair turn.

00:03:44This is kind of a hard battles for me because I will not be at rehearsals with my team.

00:03:50Since Kelly couldn't be here today, she brought me in as advisor and coach.

00:03:56I couldn't think of anybody better to step in than Jennifer Hudson.

00:04:01Jennifer Hudson is so talented.

00:04:03She's an EGOT winner, first of all.

00:04:05They don't just hand those out, y'all.

00:04:07And she's just incredible.

00:04:09Incredible singer, incredible actor.

00:04:11She just kind of covers the gamut.

00:04:15I worked with Kelly on season 15 of The Voice, which she won.

00:04:18So I think I have a great sense of what she likes.

00:04:21And she also filled me in on her team.

00:04:24So I am well-prepped.

00:06:43What helped me get through it is music.

00:06:46My biggest inspiration in my family is definitely my great grandpa.

00:06:49He played for Dottie West, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, and he unfortunately had to give it all up for his

00:06:5713 children at home.

00:06:59He had always wanted me to do music.

00:07:01So after he passed, I finally decided that I was going to start putting myself out there.

00:07:12And now look at where I am. I am so excited to be here. Even in his death, it gave

00:07:16me courage.

00:22:01But also you can tell he's got some soul

00:22:21Like 70s kind of vibe so I thought it was really interesting to hear him sing a Morgan Wallen song

00:22:32Awesome yeah man I love you guys and so different too

00:22:35Two different flavors you both have different advantages in terms of if we're talking about this as a contest

00:22:41You really take the song and kind of make it like as if you were putting a cover out

00:22:45But at the same time you have that great country voice

00:22:48I feel like this is your wheelhouse

00:22:49But you have to find a way to sort of make it your own too

00:22:53This is part of the reason why I really wanted to pick your team Adam

00:22:56Is because I need a little bit of help of trying to find myself as an artist like when it

00:23:00comes to cover songs

00:23:01You know when Morgan Wallen is such a mainstream artist there's a lot of pressure to do it justice

00:23:06I think that adopting the original spirit of the song is kind of okay

00:23:09As long as it doesn't lose any of its authenticity

00:23:11And if that's who you are because sometimes people go the other way

00:23:34And I perform a lot of Morgan Wallen songs

00:23:36It puts tip money in the bucket so I appreciate Morgan for that

00:23:40Country is my first love for sure

00:23:42But I don't want to be held to that box

00:23:44I have a lot more to show

00:23:45So I'm going to bring some Hunter to that song too

00:23:48They're singing and then they're singing with somebody right

00:23:51It's like two completely different art forms entirely

00:23:53And it can be a train wreck

00:23:54And it can be a real mess

00:23:58Because when you go into those really rhythmic harmonies and stuff

00:24:00That's the key to this whole thing working

00:24:05Their harmonies are so locked

00:24:07And it's all acoustic guitars and singing and just pure musicianship
