00:14Deciding what goes in a game
00:16is always a
00:18weeding out process. As the story
00:20unfolded, the cast of characters
00:22changed to match it.
00:23It's not so much about
00:25villains and heroes, but it is about
00:27the characters and their wants
00:29and their needs and their reasonings behind
00:31it. Their actions start
00:33changing the face of the world
00:35that Oswald knows.
00:37Oswald has his remote control
00:39which gives him the power of electricity
00:41in the world. Using your electrical
00:43powers to stun enemies
00:45or reprogram them, his own
00:47way of making enemies friendly.
00:50The helicopter ears,
00:52the boomerang leg,
00:53we had to give him his own unique set of abilities
00:55and capture the specifics
00:57of things that Walt Disney and
00:58of Iwerks put on the screen
01:0080 years ago.
01:03Oswald's powers complement Mickey's.
01:05For instance, Mickey's got paint and thinner
01:07which allows him to paint and erase
01:09in the world.
01:10Armed with the magic brush,
01:12what would Mickey do?
01:13The magic brush, it's not really
01:16the magic that causes paint and thinner
01:18to work. It's sort of a conduit
01:20for Mickey's own sort of internal ability
01:22to channel paint and thinner.
01:27The character that we're introducing in the game
01:30that I'm most happy about is Hortensia.
01:32In the first game, we just introduced her
01:34as this sort of sad
01:36no longer present in the world
01:38character. In Disney
01:40Epic Mickey the Power of Two, she is a
01:42full fledged character. It's nice to have
01:44a strong female character in Wasteland
01:46who plays a really important role
01:48in how things play out.
01:51It's the Mad Doctor.
01:52He makes his reappearance in this game.
01:54He is one of our
01:56pivotal characters.
01:58The Mad Doctor was the first Mickey
02:00cartoon I fell in love with when I was a kid
02:02and it scared me to death
02:04actually, which was great.
02:06He's a really interesting character
02:08in that he's not necessarily
02:10evil and not necessarily
02:12good. You don't know who and what he is.
02:15We have a whole new class of characters called
02:18Blotworks. Which is a fusing
02:20of the Beetleworks
02:22and the Blotlings together.
02:25They're very challenging
02:26but I love the humor in
02:28the designs and in the animations
02:30for the Blotworks.
02:33It is up to Mickey and Oswald
02:36to go through this adventure and decide
02:38how they want these characters
02:40to inhabit Wasteland.
02:43The beauty of
02:44the Wasteland universe is
02:46it's kind of a mashup world where
02:48things that don't belong together actually
02:50end up together.
02:51It's a world that every minute of every day
02:54grows and changes.
02:56the mouth of clip
03:05that they're worth it.
03:09It's a world that's different.
