00:39I was talking to my boyfriend, just texting him, and then all of a sudden he calls me
00:45and he's like, you need to go on the internet right now, I'm sending you this link, because
00:50he actually found it on IGN.com, and there was an article on there that was advertising
00:55the website for U-Jam and the Assassin's Creed contest, and I just thought that it was awesome,
01:02so I decided to enter.
01:03It was really cool.
01:14Yeah, it was actually really easy, because I usually make YouTube videos and have my own
01:19programs for that, and it's really complicated.
01:20The U-Jam, it was actually very streamlined, I was surprised, since it was a beta.
01:26It was pretty good, and it was just a step-by-step process, and it got you through right away.
01:51But I took my inspiration from Prince of Persia, which is, first of all, it's one of my favorite
01:55games of all time, and then also I listened to the soundtrack from the movie, the Prince
01:59of Persia movie, to get sort of a feel for that kind of thing.
02:02I know it's not exactly the same exact era, but I kind of got the feel for it through that.
02:09It's amazing, it's so crazy, I can't even really wrap my brain around what's going on right
02:15now.
02:16Hans Zimmer is really one of my favorite composers.
02:20I love the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack, it's just amazing.
02:23So, this is just a thrill to be here.
02:38In sixth grade, I was in the play Godspell, and I had a two-second solo that my drama teacher,
02:47Mrs. Strickland, she picked me out to have that one solo, and then after that, a lot
02:52of people from my school came up to me and they were telling me how great my voice was
02:55and that I should pursue it.
02:58So, and then the next year I tried out for Cats, and then that was my big break, I guess.
03:03We were so happy that Madeline was our winner, and it really turned out to be a fantastic end
03:11product.
03:11The score came alive, and I think that using U-Jam was just the best idea ever.
03:18We managed to get people from everywhere submitting wonderful demos, and I think it just proved that
03:26people didn't have to be professional, they could be anywhere, in any city or any town,
03:30and be part of this unique experience, and it really brought the score alive.
03:36As far as my singing career, I'm really not sure.
03:40I'm going to continue making my YouTube videos.
03:42I'm really more focused on my classes and all that kind of stuff right now, but in the future
03:47I might try to market myself more and maybe get some more opportunities like this.
