00:32One of the first, very first idea that we had was to oppose one player with a gamepad and one
00:38other player with the GamePro controller.
00:40We really wanted to have this asymmetric gameplay and actually that's the very first idea that made us believe in
00:47a Wii U.
00:52The core of the experience that we wanted to provide was asymmetric multiplayer.
00:57What asymmetric means is that the two players are playing two completely different games.
01:03One of them is a classic shooter with a player that has typical weapons, guns and so on.
01:10And one of them, the King of Zombies gameplay is more or less a strategy game of bringing zombies into
01:16the world,
01:17placing them strategically, spending your resources on them and thinking well about how to use them to defeat the other
01:22player.
01:23The King of Zombies gameplay has an additional advantage. The fact that it's really, really easy to get into.
01:29You can explain it really fast and then any of your friends can come in and fight you.
01:33The zombie multiplayer has three game modes. One of them is about capturing flags on the maps.
01:39One of them is about the human trying to survive for as long as possible.
01:44And the third one named Killing Box is about killing as many zombies as possible.
01:55From the very beginning we wanted to create a great variety in the multiplayer.
01:59You get to play on closed environments such as London Underground or a bunker.
02:04But you can also play on wide open spaces such as a stadium or London streets.
02:10When you play as King of Zombies on the Wii U gamepad, you level up as you spawn units or
02:15kill survivors.
02:16With each level up you get to choose a reward with which you can improve your army or destroy your
02:23opponent's defenses.
02:24Playing as a survivor with the pro controller is incredibly fun too.
02:28There are a lot of weapon sets that you can choose from. Gun turrets and land mines are very useful
02:34when you're capturing a flag.
02:43As you kill zombies you receive gifts from the crowd that might extend your survivability or might just erase more
02:50zombies off the level.
02:51In the multiplayer you fight many types of units that you encounter in the single player campaign.
02:57If it's ending explosive zombies just keep the distance.
03:01If you're facing a scooter remember to be constantly in motion.
03:06If you're dealing with armored units throw grenades or Molotov cocktails to save ammo.
