00:34The Zombie Research Society or the ZRS is a society that's dedicated to the research and the survival of the
00:40zombie apocalypse. Now whether that comes in the form of researching how it's going to come about, whether it be
00:45a flu virus, rabies, etc. Or just day-to-day survival, whether it becomes finding water, finding shelter, making weapons,
00:51things of that nature. And that's really what the society is dedicated to.
00:54Cameron's brought with him ten tips to get ready for the zombie apocalypse, right?
00:58That is correct.
00:58These are professional tips. Let's get to it.
01:01Round on.
01:04So I've brought you up here to the fourth floor for a couple of reasons. One being is that it's
01:08a really high vantage point, so you can see all the action that's going on.
01:11Sure can.
01:11And two, to show that there's only one way in and one way out unless you're using the elevator.
01:15Right.
01:15So the whole point is you want to keep the action down there and you up here.
01:22That equals meat salad. This equals us right now talking.
01:25I got my sight lines. I got my height. This is great. That's a great tip.
01:31The tip here is to move any heavy object that you can find in front of the doorway to basically
01:36keep mad things out but keep you in. That's really the whole point here.
01:39Can I get a little help?
01:41No. No, you're on your own here. I'm not going to be here. But you'll be fine.
01:49Obviously during a zombie outbreak you need nourishment. But I've got a bunch of great places to eat here at
01:54the office. I got a microwave inside. I got a burger place. I got fries. I got Mexican. I mean,
01:59I got everything. Why am I out here at the dumpster?
02:03Well, in the apocalypse, those employees are probably either going to be A, zombies, or B, not dedicated to come
02:09to work during the apocalypse. Which leaves us our second option.
02:12Okay. So, in a nutshell, if you die because of your starving in the wilderness, you are not trying hard
02:18enough. It is your fault.
02:19Look at that one there. And as a bonus, it's always open.
02:26Alright Cameron, I'm here in our studio, which I assume is a safe room. We've got one entrance. We also
02:29have a lot of stuff. Now, I'm not military trained or anything like that. I'm just an average citizen. So,
02:34what could I use around here in the studio to help protect myself if they come through the door?
02:39Well, first off, you have a bat. Real easy.
02:44But this really comes down to using common sense. Anything can be a weapon. A selfie stick you can use
02:49to sharpen it, you know, put it on the end of a pole.
02:51You can use a curtain rod, which will be really great, very Spartan, very nice. But anything that you can
02:56possibly find can be, even a chair.
03:02You can actually grab the handle that changes your height or your back position, pull that out. You've got a
03:08nice little shank. Another thing you can do with the office chair is you can pull the wheels off, put
03:11them on a sock, and you've got yourself a nice little swinging club. It's easy. Anything goes.
03:17Now, I think I have this. I've had this for about 15 years, and I think it's perfect for the
03:21zombie apocalypse. This could be a good weapon, couldn't it?
03:25I'd say it's a one-time use. I wouldn't want to carry that thing around, but absolutely.
03:28No, trust me. This will survive. Outstanding. It survived.
03:31Now, I have one more thing that I think will work. Let's go out here and take a look. Check
03:36this out.
03:42Dude, how did you even get that here?
03:54Now, Cameron, my phone, is it good when the zombie apocalypse happens?
03:58It is, because what most people don't understand is that when this all goes down, the cell towers are going
04:03to go down.
04:03What's still going to be up is the GPS system.
04:06So, easy day, because now you can go out and navigate and all that other good stuff.
04:10Dude, shut up.
04:12Shut up. Why? Why? You want to kill us both.
04:15Frank, not now. Shut up.
04:16That's right.
04:17Okay, Larry. So, one of the biggest things that is really important to find right at the start is batteries.
04:22Yeah. Well, that's the good news is we're in a production studio, and I got batteries.
04:27I got your double A's. I got your triple A's. I got your 9-volt. Which is better?
04:31What you're going to want is you're going to want the 9-volt.
04:33Now, why a 9-volt?
04:34Well, the reason you want a 9-volt is because you have two contact points here, and steel wool is
04:37conductive.
04:38So, what you're going to do is you're going to attach the 9-volt to any part of the steel
04:40wool,
04:40and it's going to create a really nice fire starter.
04:43God, I hate Christmas!
04:46Okay, but this is important to point out is do not try this at home unless you're under attack from
04:50actual zombies, right?
04:52That is correct. Yeah, you don't want to mess with that.
04:54Okay, so that's what we need to do. 9-volt.
04:56You've got to test it.
04:57Oh, no. Really?
04:59Yeah, yeah. How are you going to know if it works?
05:04Yes, yes.
05:05Yeah, it works.
05:12So, Larry, one of the most important things that you're going to need on this little journey that we're about
05:15to go on is you need a good knife.
05:21Okay, so I have in my pocket here a Swiss Army knife.
05:24Oh, yeah.
05:25You know, everyone has one of these at one point in their life.
05:27Yep.
05:27You know, you've got your screwdriver, you've got all these different things, but the knife is what we care about.
05:36So a knife is crucial.
05:38I have just the thing.
05:41I would stay away from that, personally.
05:45Cameron, we talked about food, we talked about water, we talked about shelter, we talked about weapons, communications, batteries.
05:51What else?
05:52You know, I think we hit on a lot of the really important points, and they are really important, but
05:56what most people don't think of is having a buddy.
05:58Right.
05:58It seems counterintuitive, you know, out there, lone wolf, you don't want to make a lot of noise, you're surviving.
06:03That's my side.
06:04But the effects and the psychological damage of not being able to talk to another human being for a long
06:08period of time is just devastating to the human psyche.
06:11Right.
06:11So not only that, it helps to have a team. I can watch your back, you can watch my back,
06:16and we'll just, we'll roll through the apocalypse that way, just you and me.
06:19Hey! Why don't you stay here and cover me?
06:21Yeah? Good call. I got your back.
06:25Lovely.
06:26Now Cameron, I understand you need a home base, right?
06:28Correct.
06:29Okay, so I've got this, this is our, this week on Xbox Studio. Does this feel about right?
06:33Yeah, it feels about right. I'd say that you have to remember that any room that you're going to have
06:37needs to be secure.
06:38So this one's really nice because you've got a big secure door, you know, we already barricaded it with the
06:43filing cabinet.
06:44Yeah.
06:44And I think this is a great setup, one way in, one way out.
06:47Now, the most important thing that you have to remember is, you've got to remember where you are.
06:50Right.
06:50You know, at one point you're going to have to figure out way back. So whether that be string, breadcrumbs,
06:56trail of bodies you left behind you.
06:57Right.
06:58Whatever you need. You just need to be able to find your way home.
07:00Yeah, quickly, safely, and securely so I can shut that door and...
07:03And take a nap.
07:04Yeah.
07:05Yeah.
07:08Cameron, obviously resources are important, especially water. So what do I need to be concerned about with water?
07:13You're absolutely right. Water is the single most important item you're going to need. But unfortunately, you have water for
07:19at least a couple weeks.
07:20Okay.
07:20But after that, the water treatment facilities are probably going to be down and you can't trust the water anymore.
07:24Okay.
07:25Another great way is if you find water, you know, you can boil it.
07:28Okay.
07:28That'll take care of a lot of the bacteria and things like that. In addition to that, like a hurricane,
07:33when you get it, you have to store it someplace.
07:35Where should I store it?
07:36Toilet's a great place. You can just store it right in here.
07:38Hey, hey, hey, I need that!
07:43There you have it. I think you are ready. Those are Cameron's 10 tips for surviving the zombie apocalypse. Cameron,
07:49thank you so much for your time.
07:50Yeah, I really appreciate you guys having me out here. I had a blast. I think everybody's set for the
07:54zombie apocalypse. You know, just use your common sense, stay motivated, and have fun with it. You have a drink.
07:58It's the end of the world. You haven't got to work tomorrow.
08:01Holy cow!
08:02And remember, just always stay educated, and what you don't know can eat you.
08:06With more crazy weapons and vehicle combos and more Frank West, there are unlimited ways to smash, slice, and blast
08:15your way through hordes of zombies in this holiday's must-have zombie game, Dead Rising 4, available right now on
08:22Windows 10 and Xbox One.
