01:04Once Upon a Monster has a unique challenge in that people often think of Sesame Street as being about numeracy
01:10and literacy, about learning your ABCs and your 1-2-3s.
01:13We wanted to make something that was about parent-child co-play, which meant that the gameplay as well as
01:19the curriculum really had to work for a broad range of ages.
01:21And we wanted to actually reach a little above the pre-K age range into their older siblings and make
01:27a game that they would enjoy.
01:28And what that meant was targeting a different aspect of the Sesame Street curriculum, which they call the whole child
01:33curriculum.
01:33It's about life lessons for all ages, empathy, friendship, compassion.
01:38Kids' emotional lives and emotional learning and learning about things like when you feel alone or when you feel scared.
01:45And different types of life lessons about how to help kids face everyday emotional problems.
01:51Cooperation, sharing, there's all of these values that we try to teach our children, but even as adults are very
01:57important for us to learn and to be reminded of.
