00:30But what do the horizontal marks below the numbers mean?
00:32They show how the parameters of an aircraft compare with other aircraft of the same tier.
00:37For example, the Arato AR-80 in its top configuration has a speed value of 388.
00:44Graphically, the value is displayed as 4.5 marks.
00:47Look at its counterpart, the Tier 3 Soviet fighter I-16, Erlima.
00:52The speed value of the I-16 in its top configuration is 352.
00:56Its speed value is lower than that of the AR-80, so it only has 4 marks.
01:01Now, let's take a look at the speed of the IL-40P, a Soviet Tier 10 attack aircraft.
01:07It has a speed of 767 km per hour.
01:10It greatly outmatches both the I-16 and the AR-80.
01:14However, it only has 2 horizontal marks, because other aircraft of its tier are much faster.
01:19So keep in mind that a number value in the parameters is an absolute value.
01:23Thus, you can compare specifications between every aircraft.
01:26Using graphical values, however, you can only compare aircraft of the same tier.
01:30Keep in mind, durability, firepower, speed, and maneuverability values are complex.
01:36They are formed with more narrow parameters.
01:38To view them, expand them.
01:40All these characteristics are taken into account in flight modeling,
01:43and affect the combat capabilities of an aircraft.
01:45However, it may be difficult to understand for beginner pilots.
01:48But the more you learn about each aircraft, the more important this information will be.
01:52It will help to analyze aircraft's pros and cons more precisely.
01:56Let's compare the I-16 late model and the Focke-Wulf FW-57.
02:00In its stock configuration, the speed value of the German heavy fighter is lower.
02:04You may think that this aircraft won't be able to break away from the I-16.
02:08However, let's take a closer look at the detailed parameters.
02:11You can see that the maximum dive speed value of the FW-57 is greater,
02:15so it can easily break away when diving.
02:18It would be hard to compare the specific features of these aircraft
02:21and develop in-battle tactics for them without knowing this additional information.
02:25Let's take a look at the altitude performance characteristic.
02:28It shows at what altitude an aircraft performs optimally.
02:31If your altitude performance is greater than of the other aircraft of the same tier,
02:36it makes sense to attack enemy aircraft from above using boom and zoom tactics.
02:40If your altitude performance is low, you should fly closer to the ground.
02:46You can change an aircraft's specifications by mounting new modules and equipment onto it.
02:51To see what you can upgrade, choose an aircraft from your hangar and open the Upgrades tab.
02:57If you want to know the characteristics of an engine or weapons,
03:00hover your mouse cursor over the icon.
03:03You can also right-click on the icon and choose Information.
03:07If you left-click on a module icon, you will see that the length of horizontal marks will change
03:13and numbers will appear next to the numerical values of the aircraft's main specifications.
03:18They show how specifications will change after you mount this module.
03:21Green numbers mean specifications will improve, while red numbers mean they will decline.
03:26Mounted modules are marked with yellow check.
03:28You can research new modules by spending experience you earn in battles on a particular aircraft.
03:34As soon as you have earned enough experience, click on the module and then click Research.
03:39To mount a newly researched module, you will need to purchase it first.
03:42If you have enough credits, left-click on the module and then click Purchase and Mount.
03:47The old module will be moved to the depot and the new one will be mounted.
03:51Sometimes you need to research a new airframe first in order to mount a new engine or autocannon.
03:57Arrows in the scheme will show the sequence of researching modules.
04:00Before you sell an aircraft, make sure you are not going to use any modules mounted on it in the
04:05future.
04:06If you are, replace them so you do not have to purchase them again.
04:09In the Tech Tree tab, you can always learn specifications and configurations of any in-game aircraft.
04:15You can also use the World of Warplanes Encyclopedia on the official website to compare different aircraft.
04:20This is a useful tool for knowing your adversaries better and planning further research.
04:24Besides researching new modules, you have another option to improve the performance of your aircraft.
04:30In the Upgrades tab, you will find three cells to mount equipment.
04:34Click any cell to view the list of equipment and its characteristics.
04:37These lists vary depending on aircraft tier and type.
04:41The cost of equipment is displayed in each cell, as well as its name and description.
04:45If you don't have enough credits, the cost will be highlighted in red.
04:49Otherwise, you can purchase equipment.
04:51Confirm mounting equipment by clicking Mount.
04:53Mounted equipment can change the performance characteristics of an aircraft.
04:57However, these changes aren't included in the description of the aircraft shown in your hangar.
05:01You can dismount equipment and then mount it onto another aircraft if both aircraft are compatible.
05:06Dismounting equipment may cost a little or nothing at all.
05:09For example, if you dismount gun sights.
05:12To sell equipment you don't need anymore, enter the store and choose the corresponding section.
05:17Find the equipment you no longer need and sell it.
05:23You can also use the store to purchase equipment.
05:26This is convenient if you want to purchase equipment in larger quantities.
05:35That's all for now.
05:36Good luck!
05:38Good luck!
05:41Good luck!
05:42Good luck!
05:42Grazie a tutti.
