Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof warned that Malaysia could face hotter, drier conditions and potential drought due to the transition from the Northeast Monsoon to the Southwest Monsoon.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday (March 22), Fadillah, who is also Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister, said the government is closely monitoring water supply with state providers, and measures such as tanker deliveries and reservoir monitoring will be deployed if shortages arise.
