00:11When Concorde retired,
00:12it felt like the world
00:13had run out of ideas
00:15and the money needed
00:16to keep making planes
00:17faster and faster.
00:19Well, thankfully,
00:21the world's motorcar engineers
00:22are made of stronger stuff
00:24than their colleagues
00:24in aerospace.
00:26The end of Concorde
00:28seemed to signal
00:29la start of a ground-based air race,
00:31the era of the hypercar.
00:34Take Pagani,
00:35the Zonda Cinque was meant to be
00:37the last evolution of Horatio Pagani's
00:40first attempt at a supercar.
00:42It wasn't.
00:44We were still pinching ourselves
00:46to believe a man with such a ridiculous name
00:48could build such a ridiculously brilliant
00:51and beautiful car
00:52when he came up with another,
00:54the even more extraordinary Huara.
00:57And then, of course,
00:58there's the new McLaren P1,
01:00a 900-horsepower hybrid
01:03which might just turn out
01:05to be the greatest hypercar of them all.
01:08It'll be fun finding out.
