00:32So we begin this DLC, Escape to Dergesh, at the top of a tower, waking up in a haze, as
00:38many do on Sundays.

00:44So Pagan has given us an ultimatum, and we have an extraction point that we have 30 minutes to get
00:51to.
00:51There's a bunch of ways that you can actually increase your time in the game.
00:55One of them is by taking down propaganda posters, you can do karma events.
01:00And because when you get to the final extraction point, Yuma's army is going to be waiting for you,
01:05it's a really good idea to buddy up and to try and do some of the missions to get you
01:10some bonuses at the end.
01:11So we're going to buddy up.
01:13You can buddy up just like those little birds.
01:15You notice they flew off in a pair.
01:16I wonder if they're lovers.
01:18Yeah, they flew in from Assassin's Creed.
01:21So you can see now, the timer's popped up, and you have 30 minutes to make it to the extraction
01:26point.
01:27So once you get to the extraction point, the timer resets to 10 minutes,
01:31and you have to hold that point for 10 minutes to make sure that the helicopter can safely take off.
01:36So the pressure is always on.
01:38Always. That's what this thing is all about. Pressure.
01:42All right. So we're going to grab down this poster, get ourselves some extra time,
01:45and Herc and AJ are going to go do one of the missions to try and get some caged animals
01:52that you can have at the extraction point, explosive barrels that will be available to you.
01:57Now just selecting any location or any mission on your map creates that waypoint for both you and your partner
02:03to head over, right?

02:10Jumping off of things is such an amazing thing to do in Far Cry 4.

02:16So now we're swooping into a mission where Pagan Min wants us to stop one of Yuma's convoys
02:21that comes by land and sea.
02:26Now, presumably, this duo have done this before, because Herc has an amazing strategy.
02:32So as AJ grabs one of the numerous mounted weapons in Far Cry 4,
02:37Herc is going to try and lay some traps.
02:39It's a great way to pair up. Use your strengths.
02:41Bombs. Shooting grenades at boats.
02:44Is bombs one of your strengths, or are you better at shooting grenades at them?
02:47Shooting grenades at boats is definitely my forte.
02:50Stay alert! This isn't over yet.
02:55Now, you could try and do this without any help,
02:57and you will probably die time and time again.
03:00Dying is very important in this DLC because you experience permadeath.
03:05Well, the thing I think with the permadeath and coming back
03:07is that it's a learning experience.
03:08So if you've done this once and you didn't make it,
03:11you come back at it again and you know how you can handle it this time.
03:15You have the weapons that you had.
03:16You have the skills that you earned.
03:19Did you major in shooting grenades at boats?

03:24Mine was exploding jeeps with C4 on wooden bridges.
03:27And look where we've come.
03:34Oh, Yuma's Wrath. Mission complete.
03:36Excellent. So that's going to give us some bonuses
03:37when we get to the final fight at the extraction point.
03:40So here's one of those karma events that I was talking about.
03:44Man, that was brutal.
03:47Okay, so here we've got a karma event.
03:49And in Karat, it pays to be a good Samaritan
03:51because saving the hostages and killing the guards
03:53will give you a minute and 15 more seconds
03:55to get to the extraction point.
04:02And here we are at the extraction point.
04:04Now does that mounted gun look familiar to you?
04:06It should because we unlocked it in the last mission.
04:09We've unlocked the gyrocopter
04:11and it is going to swoop us in
04:14and you will notice or hear a very angry caged animal.
04:18we've also unlocked that.
04:20Now, since we've done this a couple times before,
04:23we know that there are jeeps on their way up this path
04:25and we're going to lay some traps for them.
04:28Oh, jeeps.

04:32And huge success.
04:34And this guy has made it out.

04:38Silly jeeps.
04:42It's also worth considering
04:43that hardcore players
04:44might actually want to engage this thing early.
04:47If they're looking to have an experience
04:48that's not littered with barrels
04:49that they don't want those animals
04:50and they wanted to go, you know,
04:51mano a mano with these troops,
04:53they can do that too.

05:07Here's where the permadeath thing really kicks in
05:09because you're going to be engaged in combat
05:11for quite some time
05:11as you defend this extraction point.
05:13So it really matters
05:14that you've got your partner there
05:15to revive you if anything should happen
05:16and that you keep in mind
05:18that you go down
05:19and that has to start over again.
05:26Extraction point defended
05:27with one second to spare.
05:30Helicopter achieved.
05:31Beautiful pink screen.
