00:16Sombie Vikings
00:16I sometimes chokano come to call it
00:19a heckventure.
00:20Sombie Vikings
00:21è una compagno
00:23set in
00:25in a terribly perverted version, no, that's not in the wrong.
00:30Zombie Vikings is a co-op brawler set in a really twisted, wrong version of Nordic Mythology.
00:48It's a hack and slash game,
00:50but what's cool about it is that we try to add a lot of story and a lot of quests.
00:56We're trying to add a sort of adventure feel to it as well.
00:59This is not just the hack and slash part, there's a story in there somewhere.
01:03Do you smell that? That's the scent of rotting kelp slime.
01:07It really moistens up the sinuses nicely.
01:10Oh, so that's why I can't breathe.
01:13Smell like death!
01:14So Zombie Vikings is quite different from other hack and slash games
01:18in a way that we put a lot of time into story and script.
01:23It's actually a lot more story focused than you'd think.
01:26Well, most hack and slash is just, you know, you throw four identical characters in there,
01:31maybe put different hats on them, different colors.
01:33Like the zombie squad of Zombie Vikings are actually four fleshed out characters
01:37with relationships and with backstories that we explore.
01:40Yeah, we really try to let the characters have character.
01:50The other thing I think is that it's quite intensely co-op focused.
01:55We have gameplay-wise focused quite a bit more than what's usual
01:59on sort of making the players do synchronized motions together.
02:05What I saw with other hack and slash games and brawlers is that
02:08even if you have full player games,
02:10these four players wouldn't actually interact with each other.
02:13They were basically, one would be attacking one enemy
02:15and one would attack another enemy, but you wouldn't really cooperate in a way.
02:18That's one of the things we wanted to try to change in Zombie Vikings,
02:22that you can actually do things together.
02:24We want to force people, not force, but we want you to be better
02:27if you actually work together.
02:46We also play a lot around with that the characters are actually already dead,
02:51which is quite funny because that way you can stab each other
02:53and throw them around with a sword, you don't dive from that.
02:59If you lose your head, you don't die and you can use the head as a weapon.
03:02So we try to play around with the ideas that, you know,
03:05if you're dead and you're playing in a fighting game,
03:08what could you do differently than from being alive?
03:11Hey Seagart, what do you think of face turds?
03:14Oh, well, it's an excellent beard lubricant,
03:16but dangerously explosive when concentrated.
03:18We try to bring in humor and comedy into our games.
03:23And I think for my part, it has to do with,
03:27when I grew up and there were games that were like that
03:31and they sort of went away and everything was,
03:35had to be so bloody cool all the time.
03:40So we thought and I feel that we sort of need to do something different.
03:46that is the end of the game.
03:47Victory!!
03:54Oh!
03:57Hey!
03:57You...
03:57Oh!
03:58You...
03:59Oh!
03:59It's time!
04:00You want me to do this?
04:01You want me to stop.
04:04I want me to do this again,
04:08you're not fine.
04:09You're too sweet.
04:09You're too sweet.
04:12I want me to go all the world to fight.
04:12You're too sweet.
04:14What do you want?
04:15I want to do this again.
04:15Grazie a tutti
