00:04This week sees the launch of PlayStation 4's Update 2.0, otherwise known as the week when
00:10something already amazing gets even better. The update brings with it everything from tidy
00:15improvements to entirely new and revolutionary functions, and to cover it all, here's our guide
00:21to the 10 things you need to know about PS4's Update 2.0. I know, not that catchy, but accurate.
00:271. SharePlay is now a thing. SharePlay is the frankly impossible-looking ability to invite
00:34your friends to watch your game in progress and, the really ridiculous bit, even take over
00:40the controls while you become the spectator. With certain games, you can also play same-screen
00:45co-op together. No, we don't know how it works either, but we do know it's only possible
00:50on PS4.
00:512. Custom soundtracks are back. Thanks to PS4's new USB music player, you'll
00:57now be able to create custom soundtracks for all your games by loading a USB stick with
01:02music, MP3, M4A and 3GP are all supported, and plugging it in, which means I can finally
01:09realise my dream of having every game sound like Final Fantasy IX.
01:133. YouTube is here, which means you can now upload your gameplay clips to the site using
01:18the PS4's share button, and 4. You can watch YouTube on PS4 using the new dedicated app,
01:25the perfect way to catch up with my Friday features.
01:295. PS4 now supports themes, customisable ones so you can make your own and, thanks to PlayStation
01:35Vita's Update 3.30, even make your big console match up with your handheld.
01:406. As well as decking your PS4 out with new themes, you'll now be able to change the default
01:46background colour of the home screen, from light blue to any of gold, blue a different
01:52sort, red, green, purple, pink or grey.
01:567. Broadcasting is better. Live from PlayStation now has a featured channel that's filled with
02:02streams from PlayStation itself, from people on your friends list and other channels you've
02:06followed. And, 8. Part of the enhanced voice commands that come with Update 2.0 is the ability
02:13to verbally begin and stop your streaming session with the instructions Start Broadcast and End
02:19Broadcast. No, don't actually stop.
02:219. The home screen is cleaner, thanks to the fact the content area, where all your most recent
02:27apps and games are listed, now displays the last 15, with the rest being tidied away into
02:32your library, which, number 10, is easier to use and navigate thanks to an improved search
02:37function that makes it simpler to delve into what at this point could well be nearly a year's
02:42worth of stuff you've played.
02:44Thanks for watching, have fun playing with PS4's new update, and subscribe for everything
02:49else from the world of PlayStation.
