00:14Here are my top 5 tips for playing Counter-Spire.
00:17Show yourself!
00:21First tip, always keep an eye on your DEF CON level.
00:24When that DEF CON level gets too high, stop worrying about being stealthy,
00:28stop worrying about finding all those extra little bits of intelligence.
00:31You've got to run to the end of the level and get to that launch computer.
00:37Tip number 2, don't shoot officers.
00:40They're pretty cowardly, but they are the key to you lowering the DEF CON level.
00:44If you see an officer in the level and he's all alone, or if he's with other guys,
00:49make sure you shoot everyone, point your gun at him, but don't pull the trigger,
00:53and he will fall in and lower the DEF CON for you.
00:57Tip number 3, use of dive roll.
01:00When you're near cover, press and hold the dive roll and you will go into cover.
01:04If you just tap it, you'll roll past the cover.
01:06When you're in cover, you can switch from one cover position
01:10to a different cover position by pressing and holding that dive roll button.
01:22Tip number 4, unlocking weapons and formulas are key to advancing in the later levels of the game.
01:30Formulas are particularly useful.
01:32It can both lower your DEF CON that allow you to shoot guys in the head, even if they have
01:36a helmet.
01:37So play around and do an experiment to help you get past those later levels.
01:44Tip number 5, if you die and it's game over, don't despair.
01:48All those blueprints and formulas that you unlocked are yours to keep.
01:53So when you start a new game, you'll still have all your unlocks.
01:56Also, the game is procedural, so you won't be playing that same level that you remember playing back when you
02:03started that first game.
