00:04Hey guys, it's Holly here for PlayStation Access.
00:07Now we're at Brands Hatch, I found Andy from Team Project Cars
00:10and we're going to do the community Q&A video, alright?
00:13So I've got these flashcards and we're going to go, the time starts now.
00:16Cedric would like to know, will it be in 1080p and 60 frames per second on PS4?
00:20Cedric, that is always a target, you know, we've got a lot of stuff in the game
00:24but that is always our aim.
00:26Well there you go.
00:27David would like to know, will there be any third-party peripheral steering wheels on PS4?
00:33Yeah, check our website.
00:34We've got a ton of different things on there from Thrustmaster, yeah, go and have a look.
00:39There you go, website.
00:41Okay, we've got this down.
00:43Come on, let's go.
00:44Okay, Lord Catherine would like to know, how many cars and car manufacturers will there be in the game?
00:49Right, so when it comes to cars, you know, and numbers and things like that,
00:53you know, I could give you a number, but ultimately no one ever says like,
00:56how many guns are there in Battlefield compared to Call of Duty, right?
00:59It's definitely a car thing, right?
01:01Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:01It's not the amount of cars it's going to be.
01:03Definitely, absolutely.
01:03And it's not like we're trying to hide numbers or anything like that,
01:05but if you go to our website, you know, for example, today we announced track day cars.
01:09It's like our new like form of car culture that we're representing in the game.
01:13And believe me, there are many more to come still.
01:15Yeah, there are quite a number.
01:16Right, Preox Production, I'm really sorry.
01:20How do you acquire new vehicles?
01:22By purchasing them or will they just be awarded to you?
01:24This is a good one.
01:25This is a good one because all cars are open from day one.
01:28You don't have to grind for XP to unlock them.
01:32You don't have to grind for cash to get the one you ultimately want to get.
01:36As soon as you open the box and put the disc in,
01:39you can go straight into like a Le Mans prototype or a cart or whatever, you know?
01:44So you haven't got to start in the rubber line and work your way up?
01:46No.
01:46Wonderful.
01:47Right, Dan would like to know, are there any crash physics or damage physics?
01:51Absolutely.
01:52Every single car in the entire game has got full damage on there.
01:56All cockpits and things like that as well.
01:58And we go as far as like the manufacturers kind of like allow us to, you know?
02:02Because I'm sure they don't necessarily want their car running around in pieces.
02:05Nothing on fire, you know, but bits do fall off and it'll, you know,
02:08create debris around the track and things like that, you know?
02:11So we literally go as far as we can, yeah.
02:13That's incredible.
02:14Right.
02:15Stu 668.
02:17What spectrum of environments, location and weather can we expect to see?
02:20Right, yeah.
02:21So we have basically a list of tracks from all the way around the world.
02:27And again, we're kind of like drip feeding those on the website.
02:29We're just teasing you guys with this stuff, right?
02:31The website.
02:31You're really selling the website.
02:32The website.
02:33Go to the website.
02:33It's awesome.
02:34Yeah, just get more hits on that one.
02:36No, it's awesome.
02:37But yeah, we're kind of drip feeding that stuff out there.
02:39We've released eight at the moment.
02:41And as I said, we've got the largest track roster of any game.
02:43Okay, so there are many, many more to go on that.
02:46Every single one of them can be played at any time of day,
02:50any weather condition as well.
02:52So it's not restricted like other games.
02:54And also, you know, the weather can change like during the actual thing,
02:57the actual race as well.
02:58And you can race from daytime through the night into the morning next day.
03:03So you can do like endurance races and things like that.
03:04You know, we're going full out on that stuff.
03:06Tell me about this.
03:06There's a trophy, right, for some endurance racing that you told us about upstairs
03:10I thought was particularly cool.
03:11There certainly is.
03:12I don't know whether we're allowed to say it publicly.
03:15But yeah, absolutely.
03:15There is a special achievement in there for doing a very long endurance race.
03:20Get the coffee ready is all you need to know.
03:22All right, I Have a License to Drive asks,
03:24will there be a paint shop to make your own custom designs?
03:27So up till now, we always go, yes, yes, yes, absolutely.
03:30But when it comes to paint and liveries, things like that,
03:33yes, on the PC, you'll be able to paint your own liveries, things like that.
03:36When it comes to the consoles, it's a bit more difficult, unfortunately.
03:38So like, I hate to say no, like, but unfortunately not.
03:42But, you know, who knows in the future?
03:43Cool.
03:45Arvlish would like to know, you said there'd be pit stops.
03:47So how detailed are these?
03:49I guess he wants to know, how are you going to interact with them?
03:50Fully animated pit stops.
03:53You come in, you see the guys running around the car.
03:56And as I said, we've got many different motorsports.
03:58So they're all appropriate to the actual motorsport that you're doing.
04:01Yeah, you've got flags and penalties, things like that.
04:04You've got a pit engineer who talks to you on PlayStation, on the Sony.
04:08He'll be talking to you through the actual controller,
04:11through the little speaker there.
04:12It's awesome.
04:13Okay, Mohamed would like to know,
04:14will different types of cars be able to compete in the same race?
04:18So if you're doing tracks, it would have to be just track day cars,
04:21or can you just literally have the most ficklety, ficklety race ever?
04:24Yeah, so you can do, so like within career and things like that,
04:26it's usually single makes.
04:29So it's usually, you know, like a Formula A kind of race,
04:32or a GT3 kind of race.
04:34So they're all kind of the same kind of class, right?
04:36But there are some races which are multi-class as well.
04:39So you can have two different types of cars on the same track.
04:42online, you can do whatever you want, right?
04:45You can run a, you know, a Formula or open wheel car,
04:49or a touring car on a karting track if you want, you know?
04:52It's silly, and it's up to you whether you want to do that,
04:55but why not, you know?
04:56We've seen some, yeah, absolutely.
04:58It's up to you guys.
04:58We're not restricting anybody.
05:00Amazing.
05:01Okay, Cesar would like to know,
05:02how will multiplayer play out?
05:04Is it separate from single player?
05:07Well, yeah, yeah, so we have...
05:09I think what he means is like some racing games,
05:11online is all this massive, one intrinsic kind of field.
05:14Is this like, if I do something in career mode,
05:16do I then have a separate kind of leaderboard
05:19and a separate kind of player stats?
05:20Gotcha, no.
05:21So we have four stripes on our logo.
05:23They respond, they...
05:24Right, you ready?
05:25They acquire...
05:26Acquire?
05:26No, that's the wrong word.
05:27They relate to career, solo, online, and community.
05:32Yeah, so online is we treat quite separately
05:34because, you know,
05:36there's different ways of playing online.
05:37You want to play online with like strangers
05:39from around the world,
05:40but then equally,
05:41you want to create your own private events
05:42just for like you and your mates
05:44and things like that,
05:44or like generate a race for like
05:47just anybody on your friends list
05:48to kind of like join.
05:49You know, we've got a thing called join in progress,
05:51which means that I can start a qualifying session
05:53and like anyone can kind of just drop in,
05:55like join in,
05:56and then like once everyone's qualified,
05:58right, off we go to the race.
05:59It's awesome, you know?
06:00So we're treating...
06:01We're learning a lot from our previous games.
06:03We're learning a lot with like how people
06:05kind of like play games,
06:06you know, we're learning a lot from other genres,
06:08you know, like shooters and things like that.
06:09And like trying to make, you know,
06:11Project Cars Online Spirits
06:12absolutely nail it.
06:13Okay, so finally,
06:14Zach would like to know,
06:16can we customise multiplayer settings
06:18for things like,
06:19can you set up different modes,
06:20day and night?
06:21Can you really play with it
06:22and set that out there for people to play?
06:24Yeah, absolutely.
06:25As I said,
06:25like we're not restricting anything at all.
06:27So like you can make a 24-hour recreation
06:31of the Le Mans 24-hour,
06:33you know,
06:33you can do a Dubai race
06:36that only lasts three laps.
06:38You can do it starting in the rain
06:40and going into clear weather.
06:42You can accelerate time faster than real life,
06:44up to 240 times.
06:46So like it's whipping through different weather
06:47or with different...
06:48Whatever you want.
06:49You can do qualifying sessions,
06:51you can make everyone forced into the same car,
06:53you can do whatever you want.
06:55Yeah, nothing is restricted.
06:57That sounds incredible.
06:58Right, that's it.
06:58We got through my little list of flash cars.
07:00Thank you so much.
07:01It's very windy
07:02and it didn't all blow away,
07:03which is something.
07:03That is amazing.
07:05As you can hear,
07:06we've got the Chevrolets going around behind us,
07:08which is incredible.
07:09Andy, thank you so much.
07:10Hopefully, we've got plenty more Project Cars
07:12coming up for you.
07:12So guys,
07:13don't forget to stay tuned
07:14to our YouTube channel.
07:23We'll see you next time.
