00:00You know, you mentioned Duke. They looked a little wobbly, and they got TCU. I mean, are you concerned about
00:06Duke and getting some consistency going? Is this the right team to do it against?
00:12Yeah, I mean, I think this is the one that's going to really test your ball handling ability, see if
00:17Caden Boozer is capable of being that lead guard. And it looks like they're probably not going to have Patrick
00:22DeJong, but for this game as well. So they are going to need to, you know, figure things out.
00:26And I think, you know, I think Jamie Dixon's squad is a team that's going to test them, but not
00:30necessarily beat them.
00:31So I think this is a good little step on their way to kind of getting their feet under them
00:35as they head into the tougher opponents they're going to be facing if they want to win this tournament.
00:39You know, South Region has this Houston Cougars team, and I've said this before.
00:44I think Calvin Sampson may have his best backcourt. And as you said before on the program, the teams with
00:50the best backcourts usually have great success in a tournament like this,
00:53especially when you have to win six of these puppies. But they got A&M, who's kind of a tough
00:58team.
00:59So again, how do you see Houston today?
01:02I think Houston plays extremely well in this spot. I think this is one of those situations where you can
01:07almost always trust them.
01:08They come out fired up in these games. Their ball pressure can create a lot of issues for other teams.
01:13And then all of a sudden they're getting quick points in transition.
01:15I also think they're going to have a really good time getting offensive rebounds here.
01:19So that kind of helps them recycle the ball, get more shots in.
01:22And I think this is the type of situation where Kingston Fleming tends to play extremely well in as well.
01:27He can be a little bit passive at times, especially in games where they're not necessarily, you know, you know,
01:32coming down to the wire.
01:34But in those tough games and those games where he, you know, feels the pressure, he tends to really step
01:38up.
01:38So I like Houston in this spot. I don't know if I'm going to lay the points with them, but
01:42I think they win fairly convincingly here.
01:45Do you agree? This is probably the game of the day.
01:48It's in the South region, and I believe it's in Oklahoma City.
01:53Vanderbilt's favored, I believe, or maybe a dog in this one here by a point and a half in this
01:57game here against Nebraska.
01:59You know, I've asked you numerous times, Rowan, about this Nebraska team because I can't get a handle on who
02:04they are.
02:05But is this going to be last position type of ball game we're looking at with Vanderbilt and the Cornhuskers?
02:11Yeah, yeah, I think it is. I think this is going to be a close one.
02:13All the spreads and the analytics seem to suggest it is.
02:16I'm with you. I have a hard time pegging this Nebraska team.
02:19I did not really think they were going to be good coming into the year.
02:22Then all of a sudden they started off unbeaten.
02:24Then they kind of stumbled down the stretch.
02:26They take a lot of threes, but, you know, if they're not hitting those shots, they don't really play that
02:31well.
02:31So it's, you know, it's a tough one for me, but I think Vanderbilt's just a little bit more consistent.
02:35You know, I like what they've done throughout the entire season.
02:38You know, I know they had a little bit of a letdown at the SEC final, but, you know, getting
02:42up to that point was pretty impressive.
02:44And beating Florida, I think, was extremely impressive.
02:47So I think Vanderbilt is the more balanced team here, and I like them in what's pretty much a pick
02:51them at this point.
