00:26In the Stars is the ultimate captain experience
00:28where you're in complete control from the very beginning
00:31by selecting your modules and your crew
00:33and taking them on this fantastic voyage through a new solar system.
00:36You really have full control over a crew
00:38and you're out there exploring new worlds and fighting enemies.
00:41It's a mix of exploration and action around every corner.
00:44In the very beginning, we choose modules inside your ship
00:46to end crew decisions during battles.
00:49It will ultimately decide if you make it to the very end or not.
00:53The game has already seen significant development,
00:55but now we need the Kickstarter community's help to finish it.
00:58Some of the key features for Into the Stars include
01:01management of everything on your ship, from crew to resources.
01:05Encountering enemies in volley-based combat
01:06and exploring a brand new solar system.
01:09One of the unique features of Into the Stars
01:11is the seamless transition of having a third-person camera
01:13where you see outside to this vast space and within a key press
01:16you get to see the entire bridge.
01:19It's a unique view that you haven't seen in games before.
01:21I think what makes Into the Stars different
01:23is the amount of control that we give the player.
01:25You choose your crew members to take along.
01:28You outfit your ship.
01:29And just as the final alien attack hits,
01:32you leave your planet behind to seek a new home.
01:35You're in full control of a massive ship
01:37and every decision you make has a potential impact
01:40on your journey through this beautiful and vivid 3D space
01:43powered by Unreal 4.
01:44The new features in Unreal 4 have allowed us to create a world
01:47that's much larger than anything we've built before,
01:49packed with resource-rich planets, mysterious objects,
01:52and all types of alien encounters.
01:56We knew that music would be key to creating a cinematic experience
01:59filled with wonder and danger
02:00and that's why we brought in Jack Wall
02:02to create an original score for Into the Stars.
02:04The art style of Into the Stars is very rich and vibrant.
02:07It's influenced by movies like Fifth Element
02:09and more recently Guardians of the Galaxy.
02:11They're colors that you're commonly seeing
02:13in the most engaging satellite imagery.
02:15Our biggest inspiration was the classic Oregon Trail
02:18and more recently games like FTL and Out There
02:20that are all about the journey.
02:22Also, games that are very focused on management
02:24like Game Dev Story.
02:25We formed Fugitive Games because we wanted the freedom
02:27to create the game that the community wants
02:30and that we want as gamers.
02:32We wanted to start our own thing
02:33where we got to make the decisions
02:35and we got to call the shots
02:36and make the games that us as players want to play
02:39and we know you guys want to play too.
02:41We are a small team.
02:43We're only four guys
02:44and we're trying to build the best possible experience
02:46but we need your help.
02:48We'll be using the funds collected on Kickstarter
02:50for an extended development timeline
02:51focused on polish,
02:53bringing in great partners like Jack Wall
02:55and delivering the experience
02:56that the community deserves.
02:58I'm really excited about Into the Stars
02:59because I can't wait to see
03:01what kind of captain each player becomes,
03:03especially when their precious cargo
03:05represents the fate of humanity.
03:07How will they travel across the galaxy?
03:09What choices will they make?
03:10And will those choices be impacted by their crew
03:13and the civilians on board their ship?
03:23We're poised to deliver an awesome space survival experience
03:26but we need your help to make it a reality.
03:28So please spread the word,
03:29follow us on Facebook or Twitter
03:31and check back here regularly for updates.
03:33Thanks for your support.
